RE: Benjamin Brereton - the jock - 16-01-2019 i cant see brereton turning it around at blackburn . the fans are really on his back. RE: Benjamin Brereton - Username - 22-04-2019 Took his goal well today, nice to see him (finally) off the mark. RE: Benjamin Brereton - Alf - 02-01-2020 Crikey he was a none-entity yesterday. Still young, but Blackburn should have him on loan in League 1 or 2 for a season. RE: Benjamin Brereton - Superreddamo - 02-01-2020 He looked so slow and pretty dreadful. God knows what they have done to him, they’ve turned him into Gary Jones!! RE: Benjamin Brereton - McDurban - 02-01-2020 The deal for Brereton makes Steve Bruce look like an amateur. RE: Benjamin Brereton - Derby My Arse - 02-01-2020 I have nothing against Ben. I hope he gets his career back on track. His performance against Arsenal in the Cup will stay in my memory for a long time. RE: Benjamin Brereton - Paplane - 02-01-2020 It looked like he'd grown 6 inches since he left us. RE: Benjamin Brereton - Maltared - 02-01-2020 Only change in him .... growing a beard to look older ... still looking anonymous when on the wing ... Reminds you of Carvalho .... RE: Benjamin Brereton - Paplane - 02-01-2020 He's been out for a while with an injury and yesterday was I believe his first start in ages. So no surprise to see him have a quiet game and get pulled off. For moments in time, he looked like he could go on to be a world beater. Some explosive goals. And against Arsenal? He tore them a new Arsenal. :D Coming back from any injury he'll be somewhat lead footed and anonymous. However, the deafening quiet of his progress at Blackburn seems to tell its own story. He, like Yates and Car' is still quite young. The idea that all players are 18 and ready to go seems a remote one to me. Players develop at different rates eg. Marlon Harewood. Late bloomer. But it was the good work of the Forest Academy and Paul Hart (in addition) that helped with that. Youth players used to get introduced gradually. Now in the age os 'instant' fame, success and gratification the expectation is different..? I wouldn't grudge Ben his move or any success. If he goes on to do well, he's an advert for Forest's Academy. As a big lad, he probably had the advantage on his peers, but against some of the CH monsters of the Championship? Not as easy. Attitude is important. Why try hard if you have a Range Rover? I guess the hunger to succeed varies against that entitled and privileged backdrop. Even Man U can't get a tune out of Pogba. They should have 'listened' to Fergie. Random post alert. SA. |
