That is correct SM.

We have failed to score in half of our home games this season.

We have created more than 50 opportunities in our last 2 home games and failed to take any of them.

For the first time I am now very concerned.

We played superbly against the league champions, utterly dominated them first half but still didn’t really force a good save. Not sure if this is correct but the report said they faced 12 shots first half which is their most since 2015. To do that and not score then it’s worrying. That isn’t a criticism and its gutting for the team to come away with nothing.

bloke has only had 4 maybe 5 training sessions tops to start getting ideas across, and you already see the improvements, just because we didn't score against Liverpool doesnt mean we wont score again this season, Vitor probably focused on been solid for yesterday and draw/hopefully win, Goals will come along with better Refs hopefully, we will stay up

Coming away from the ground yesterday was the first time I’ve felt we are fated to go down. Espesxially with the manner of the loss. Then listening to Steve Hodge on radio Nottingham tipped me over the edge. 25 goals in 27 games etc.

We can’t keep coming away saying we battled well, were unlucky etc.

We need to win some games and yesterday was a big wobble for me.

West ham are hardly scoring for fun, vitor has come in and has to make us solid again, which he is doing, different referee and that ends 0.0 and everyone is saying its a good point. Just because we didn't score against a decent Liverpool back line, doesnt mean we cant score 1/2/3 against brighton

Is it fair to say Taiwo deserves a chance now?

I would also like to see both MGW and McAtee in the same side to try to make better things happen in the final third.

Not sure how we could do that but it's Vitor's job.

Finally a word on jesus.

I really like him but when the summer window closed Chris Wood was fit and playing.

Jesus was not signed to be starting every PL game.

But sadly he has found himself having to do that.

Agreed with all the above posters regarding the lack of goals. That’s what’ll send us down regardless of other performances unless something changes.

I wouldn’t be against Jesus playing in a front two with either Lucca or Taiwo. He has good link up play and energy but doesn’t offer enough threat in the league. It would probably mean that we’d need to go to a back 3 to do it, but might be worth a try as the wingers aren’t contributing

RE: Are We Going Down? - Paplane - 23-02-2026

Are we going down? Yes, probably, but these last two games have just given me a tiny bit of hope that we might make a fight of it. Our competitors are picking up points and that's ramped the pressure up on us immensely but the difference now is that we seem to be playing well. Before they were picking up points while we were playing badly, which only had one ultimate outcome.

So to me it looks like it's us or West Ham now for the chop. OK Spurs are down there now but let's be honest, it would be the biggest shock of premier league history if a 'big 6' team were relegated. I'm expecting them to get a few points and see it through, especially now they've changed their manager. Can West Ham keep going at the rate they now are? Will our improved performances but a bit of pressure back onto them?

Is it time to bring out the super computer.

I have us surviving on 39 and West Ham dropping on 37 and counting on a last day win vs Bournemouth.

Dont blame me if Im wrong!

Based on the PPG from the following this is final points.
Last 4 games - Spurs 31.8 Forest 32.5 WH 38.8
Last 6 games - Spurs 32.7 Forest 38 WH 45.2
Last 8 games - Spurs 33.1 Forest 38 WH 40.1
Last 10 games - Spurs 36.7 Forest 36.9 WH 38.2 (we get relegated on goal diff)
Last 12 games - Spurs 35.4 Forest 38 WH 36

Now, I know that there is zero chance that ppg are the same for all teams for rest of season, but I thought it was interesting and does show what a bad run of form Spurs are in, and on current form WH will probably overtake us!

The game at Spurs is going to be massive.

Next 5 games:
West Ham - Liverpool (A), Fulham (A), Man City (H), Villa (A), Wolves (H)
Forest - Brighton (A), Man City (A), Fulham (H), Spurs (A), Villa (H)
Spurs - Fulham (A), Palace (H), Liverpool (A), Forest (H), Sunderland (A)

So Spurs have a slightly better run, feels like 4 games that are winnable there. West Ham will be expected to lose next 4 but then win vs Wolves. We really need to beat Fulham and then win one of the other games. That Spurs game also directly follows the 2nd leg of the Europa games...

This season has been so shit and yet there is a not impossible scenario that we reach a European QF/SF or better and finish 15th or so. It's right on the precipice, getting a bit too stressful really!
