RE: Next Few Games - Marinakis Red - 07-01-2025 That game a week today is going to be something else! We're going to be up and firing next Tuesday night. We have to bring the noise next week and go after them in those full back areas. RE: Next Few Games - Salvatore Matrecano - 07-01-2025 In theory its 3 points if we can get somehow do over Liverpool but still the same 3 points for beating a terrible Southampton at home 5 days later. Both are equally important but at the same time in the words of Kevin Keegan….. RE: Next Few Games - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 07-01-2025 Lets raise the noise levels and make it hell for Liverpool. They are used to playing in a library. They won't know what hit them when they walk out of that tunnel on Tuesday night under the City Ground lights. After Liverpool even in defeat our worst position is third! With all of the big teams coming here in the second half of the season we need to ensure it's as hostile as possible. Together as one and let the team do there thing. Regardless of the result next week, which let's face it is probably going to be a defeat, it's the two most difficult games of the season out of the way and we will have achieved a minimum of 3 points from both games. That's not a bad situation. Our competitors will still have to play a game against them and some will have a trip to Anfield outstanding. I have a genuinely good feeling about next week. The World Famous City Ground will be absolutely rocking!! I think we match up with them well.....pretty equal midfields (I actually think ours sneaks it), our defence is our strongest Vs their attack being their strongest. With their full backs being defensively susceptible and our wingers our most dangerous providers to Wood who is obviously rocking things at the moment.... RE: Next Few Games - Jimmygordon - 07-01-2025 Liverpool H Southampton H Bournemouth A Brighton H 7 points would be sensible but given December I said 7 RE: Next Few Games - Paplane - 07-01-2025 Do we think Liverpool would be content with a draw next week? Say it gets to 70/75 mins and it's 0-0 are they pressing us hard and risking a break-away goal against, or do they consolidate and take the draw? Still got a decent lead and a game in hand over us and Arsenal. RE: Next Few Games - Plymouth red - 20-01-2025 As much as the team is one game at a time, it doesn't stop us speculating. I reckon the next 6 will be pivotal as to our finishing position. We did not fair that well first half with 2 draws and 4 defeats - a repeat of that and we will have a lot to do in the last ten. So what do we think we will need to still be top 4 by the end of it Bournemouth A (5th in form table with 3 wins and 3 draws) Brighton H (9th 2 wins and 4 draws) Fulham A (10th 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss) Newcastle A (2nd 5 wins 1 loss) Arsenal H (4th 4 wins 2 draws) Man city H (6th 3 wins, 2 draws 1 loss) None of these sides lose much and anything over 2 points is an improvement from first half so would we think 6 would be enough to maintain top 4 considering we have a 6 point gap? RE: Next Few Games - DeesideRed - 21-01-2025 We do seem to struggle against Fulham for whatever reason, Newcastle were far better than us whereas we held out Vs Arsenal and City was all about Wood's miss. all about the first 3 for me and then we'll see what Newcastle turns up |
