I am not holding his season start at Wolves against him The board at Wolves stitched him up and f****d him over. That's hardly his fault and lets face it, Wolves certainly didnt improve under different managers either.
Provided EM doesnt do anything stupid like bring in another Edu and disrupt the apple cart, I can see us challenging at the other end of the prem next season. We are presently THE in form side, so he he can't be doing too bad.
Can we drop the notion we will be going after a new manager at the end of the season? We dont need one!

Agree with alot of this, that Wolves start may have an explanation but remains a red flag. It's a flag that diminishing by the game however as I don't see a scenario at present where he is replaced in summer.

Eh Sniff? Edu was a disaster who could've been responsible for a relegation from the prem, sending us back down where we began.
With a european campaign ahead he went out and signed young players (for hefty fees). That's great if you're thinking 2 or 3 years ahead and development is on a slow burner, but Nuno needed quality and experience there & then to compete on two fronts. Nuno could see it but Edu couldn't. And that resulted in our most successful manager in a generation walking out the door and joining a rival. Great stuff Edu.

Pireira doesn't seem to have a problem Pap with the squad Edu assembled.
Nuno didn't give it time because it probably could have worked for him too.
Instead he sulked because of Traore who is not fit to lace Hutchinsons boots, so Edu was right.

I am not sure even now about Mr Edu Pap, BUT the seeds he has sowed are now starting to develop, its slow and some will not survive but others will bear fruit. If bridges can be built and clear lines are put down by EM then like Sniffer I would not be against giving it another go?

It is easy to pinpoint the moment Dyche lost the players. It was January 9 and Forest had just lost on penalties at Wrexham in the FA Cup third round, after Dyche rotated heavily.
Dyche promptly rubbished the starters after the match and at a stroke, alienated his squad. Those who had played felt unfairly targeted, while those who had been rested – including influential voices like Gibbs-White – felt angry on their behalf. Dyche lasted only 34 more days and it is no wonder Pereira has tried a different approach.
Despite his relaxed manner, Pereira is a workaholic. Alongside his trusted lieutenant Miguel, Pereira was working until 3am in those early days, analysing every member of the squad – both their displays for Forest and with former clubs.
They evaluated their technical and tactical strengths and noticed that some of these players’ physical data at Forest did not match what they had produced at other clubs. The next task was to reverse the trend.

Hard to disagree with the above article really. Results were decent for the most part before even if players weren’t convinced by Dyches methods. After the Wrexham game we were abject from then on.
As for Edu, hopefully this is just a retrospective discussion for the summer. Results and performance have certainly improved with Vitor, im not surprised there is much hard work and analysis behind the friendly smiles. But is it coincidence that Edu was removed from the scene around the same time? Theres not much case for bringing him back IMO.
Its hardly inspirational genius to target younger players with resale value. But that can bring its own problems, we have ground out this season 90% with the team from last season. The ultimate example of it going wrong is the team we have just thumped 0-3. Discuss specifics later but end on a positive, Dilane Bakwa after the Braga game I was convinced was Diakhaby v2. Bit early to say he is a world beater but Vitor has 100% got some useful contributions from him and it was wonderful to see him turning Cucurella (a player I despise) inside out on Sunday. Hope he can keep it up.

Periera is doing very well and the players like him a lot. That's plain to see. Imo he's done more than enough to stay next season, especially as it looks like Silva might have opportunities at bigger clubs than ours.
And a big question this summer will be who's going to be appointed the new director of football? Get that appointment wrong again and we might not be as lucky next season.
