Cheers. To be fair just what I’ve picked up from others (sorry should have perhaps made that clearer). Those putting it out however have been pretty much spot on with things previously.

The bundesliga signings were the most scouted and arguably have been the most impactful towards the end of the season (bar Richards). Whoever signed Filipe and Danilo needs commending. Woods and Shelvey I put down to someone panicking a bit. Freuler in a Man City team - people would be drooling - another John McGovern - lost on most. That said, three of our own have been bloody brilliant. Yates PPG with and without speaks for itself. Worrall most improved from start to finish and Brennan Johnson - I think will eventually be a top notch talent- reminds me of Ollie Watkins prior to growing out a bit and becoming a centre foward- only better, faster and more skillfull.
Aurier and Kouyate did what they came to do and without I’m not sure we’d have stayed in the league.
Dennis is a maverick who may yet settle and grow - see too Scarpa.
Goodbye to surridge- needs a season with Leeds as a replacement for Bamford and will probably shine. Neco Williams - not sure cooper got him right but I think his attitude will see him through and he will become a decent player - not sure he is actually a full back myself.
Mckenna - mixed. Played some games brilliantly but thought he’d be better after being immense last year.
Boly - brilliant squad player but injuries may hold him back.
Ayew - coopers mate - held the ball up a few times deapite his stature. Can’t say I can reason why he was used more than surridge. Possibly a good egg.
Lingard- served his purpose but bloody expensive - good job his attitude was good, otherwise could have been a huge drain on the rest of the squad and club.
MGW- well done cooper and Marinakis for making sure it was done. Works hard - has a bit of magic in his boots. Can win a header! Could end up a brilliant number 8 for an elite club and country.
Biancone - obviously has a good character. A new Swiss Army knife player ideal for the squad.
Lodi - very close to my POTY. Best defensive left back we’ve had since the second coming from clough. Would be overjoyed to see him back and possibly be more expansive- his spurs goal shows it’s in his locker.
Hendo- great attitude on wanting to be here after his injury. Suspect kicking and beaten too much from long distance early on but came into his own.
Navas - made most things look easy so as not to think he has done much. Lime any quality keeper does. Saved more points than lost. Very good loan.
Hennessy - most experienced bench keeper in the game.
Bade - should have been utilised.
Cook- great bloke - time to go and help a championship side again.
Toff- very decent back up LB and never let us down
Obrien- not sure. Most have the opinion that he was hard done by- I don’t. Think he has a more robust Ben osborne in centre midfield.
Have I missed anyone?

Mangala- played as a 6 v spurs and bosses it until he got sent off. Not trusted for ages- came back in gradually and showed his worth - think he will be fantastic next year.

Agree with almost all of that Ozzy apart from Freuler playing for Man City. We will agree to disagree but I genuinely don’t think he suits the Premier League, thats the kindest thing I can say.
Mangala too I agree with, I really like the guy and had cut out most of the mistakes end of season he definitely has a future here just not sure he would be first pick
My question remains do either of the above get in the side for a mid table Premier League team? Are either going to feature in a team that can dominate a midfield?
If the answer is no to either of the above then we need better.

I see a few players have contracts ending in 2024 so will be interesting to see what decisions the club takes on those players.

If we are looking to improve as we most certainly are, then I think Bowler and Surridge are both likely to be moved on this summer. Surridge wanted to leave in Jan but we wouldn’t sanction the move.
Bowler is not likely to be at the required level, so he will either go on loan or be sold depending what offers come in for him.
Joe has done enough to get an extension in my view. Probably not a starter in a team looking at mid table, but a great club man and good enough to be part of a 25 man squad.
McKenna is an interesting one as I don’t think is ever going to be better than 5th choice.
With both Felipe and Boly only having another 12 months, we should be looking at a younger centre half of high quality who is good enough to be a starter now. For me if a decent offer comes in for McKenna then I would let him go.
Cook will leave this summer.
Kouyate, Boly and Hennessey should be part of the 25 for next season, and don’t have sufficient market value to consider offloading this summer.

Worrall has been decent lately. Wonder if disparity in wages of homegrown and incomings in the dressing room is starting to hit home. It really is scandalous that Lingard has earned as much as Worrall in one year as Worrall has in his career.

I guess it’s the food chain.
Lingard’s earning potential is decreasing, whilst Joe’s is increasing.
Joe will never be on the mega bucks of the prime attacking talent as they are the game changers.
But Joe will never have to work again once he retires.
That’s not bad for a lad who was by no means guaranteed to be a pro when he was 16/17 yrs old

Yes both worrall and Yates were never expected to reach this level by most people
But hats off to them both to what they have achieved through hard work
Both of them are good level premier league players now
I would not be surprised if we are getting a few big offers in for Yates this summer
