The FA will stick with Southgate and rightly so but the question is will Southgate stick with the FA?

Well thank God that is now all over and we can get back to some proper football.

The final, for once, certainly lived up to expectations. The only thing it had missing was a Messi hattrick goal to clinch the win before penalties were needed. The passage of play in the last minute of extra time where Martinez the goalie made a brilliant save and the ball went up the other end and Martinez the forward missed a great chance was incredible - even more so after 120 minutes of action.

The Martinez save took me back to Samba's toe end save in the play off semi.

It was a great game. For me what would've made it better would be that if Deschamps bought Samba off the bench to save 3 of the Argies penalties!

This may be a surprise to some but to be honest I didn't watch it. I had no interest as neither my club or country were involved in anyway shape or form.
