RE: Our Goalkeepers - DeesideRed - 18-12-2023 Don't think can agree with no errors bit but he's certainly deserving of a recall RE: Our Goalkeepers - Marinakis Red - 18-12-2023 He hasn't made any glaring errors but nor has he made spectacular saves but certainly deserves a place in the team ahead of Turner currently. RE: Our Goalkeepers - nffc93 - 18-12-2023 I don't have any faith in Turner becoming an elite level goalkeeper. He's simply not good enough. Arsenal have had our pants down yet again. Bin him off as the earliest opportunity. Oly bound RE: Our Goalkeepers - Fumanchew - 18-12-2023 So sniff why has he let in so many goals, so quickly. All defender errors? RE: Our Goalkeepers - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-12-2023 Being a goalkeeper is more than about making saves. Im not an expert but I like to see a keeper command their area, be committed and confident, position their defenders. Fro what I have seen so far, Turner is the stronger of the two in that regard although he has a fatal weakness with the ball at his feet. I haven’t seen that commanding attitude from Ody although he has only had 5 games. Same reason Henderson was letting in 4 and 5 on many occasions last season, when you don't play with the ball and you invite pressure it will happen sometimes. Vlachodimos is very highly rated in football circles. Be nice if we gave him a fair chance. Even having hm playing in a winning team with confidence would go along way to helping. He walked into a team shipping goals and getting spanked every week. Not the easiest of introductions. All defender errors? So much this, if you have such low possession all the time the entire back 4/5/6 are playing under so much pressure constantly. And then on top of that once you setup and train to play that way you can't change the mindset once the 3rd one goes in... RE: Our Goalkeepers - Fumanchew - 18-12-2023 But his first game we weren’t playing like that, he kept a clean sheet and we won 2 nil with goals from a defender and midfielder so it can’t just be Cus we don’t have awoniyi Cus we scored two with him the best game but conceded 3 RE: Our Goalkeepers - nffc93 - 18-12-2023 Nuno is coming in a goal keeping coach. Haha RE: Our Goalkeepers - Jacksbadhobbits - 18-12-2023 (18-12-2023, 03:50 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote:(18-12-2023, 02:43 PM)Fumanchew Wrote: So sniff why has he let in so many goals, so quickly. All defender errors? At least Henderson made along the way. Every shot at Vlachodimos goes in the net. I honestly don’t which one of the two of them is worst. RE: Our Goalkeepers - ozzyten10 - 18-12-2023 He is not pro active enough and has poor positioning. His kicking is decent. Ironically- merge the two and we have a good premier keeper RE: Our Goalkeepers - Trailer Park Tom - 18-12-2023 Whilst I'd rather have Pantilimon between the sticks, I do think the lack of stability with team selection is largely to blame. At this stage it looks like we have two number 2s but the rotation can't be positive. Voddy's save statistics are a bit unlucky. Still shocking recruitment though. |
