Wonder if EM has considered this as an option? Can't imagine a queue of clubs wanting it in it's current proximity.

Not sure we would want to take on 16m cost a year.
That complex was always over indulgence TBH

I'd be interested to know why it costs 16m a season. What makes it any different to any other modern training facilities? If I remember rightly. When it was built iecho friendly, self sustaining was spoke about.

Let's say its not that figure. I say it's a very good idea personally

I suppose it depends on what it would cost to build and run a new training facility.
Having a ready made one may offer considerable benefit.

Exactly. Also recouping a decent sum from Wilford Lane would offset some of the outlay.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 15-04-2026

Doubt Leicester would sell but they may lease it out to offset costs. Lets say we used it 2 days a week for the extra facilities and kept Wilford Lane? All conjecture obviously.

Can't imagine our owner going for that type of deal. I'd imagine it would be all or nothing. Adding to the stadium upgrades and owning that. He's be turning over a big profit if it came to selling the club if still in the prem.. not forgetting owning the stadium as well.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - The reds - 17-04-2026

Is there any reason why Marinakis hasn’t been at the home games recently?

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Username - 17-04-2026

Apparently the last time an Evangelos Marinakis club had four different managers in the same season and faced Aston Villa in the semi-finals, they went on to win a European Cup

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Paplane - 17-04-2026

Stephan Borson suggesting that there's no evidence the Big Man has put his shares in trust this season, meaning if we win the Europa we cant play in the CL.

It's tight though. just 2 goals separating them from PAOK in 2nd. I bet they do it.

We're getting ahead of ourselves though!

There was a mourning period of 40 days after the passing of his mother.

Then we didn't have a game for 3 weeks.

Last week and this week it was the Easter holiday which in Greece is massive unlike in the UK.
