They need to reduce costs, they won’t be in the market I doubt without significant offloading.

City are looking to loan Rogers out with a view to a permanent deal; like the one they had with Bournemouth.

They had agreed a 12m fee with Bournemouth with add ons as well; Cant see many clubs being interested on that basis.

RE: The Championship 2021/22 - Salvatore Matrecano - 29-01-2022

Stick a decimal point between the 1 and the 2 then maybe. If they are offering a loan with a sensible buy option should we go up that’s about the best we could do.

...upon promotion to the Premier League kind of deal?

They might have to make a different deal with Forest.  One where he gets played alot...?

It's not just Forest that are having problems with injuries.  They've hit WBA and now Sheff U.

Hopefully we can add a few more to our squad soon and keep injury free. Get Mighten and Soh back o full fitness.

That's another zero on his price

I think our chances of signing him in this window are also zero

Sadly I do too

I don't.

It's not over yet. The last day of the transfer window is always a tense affair - there are still deals to be done. It all depends who else is bidding for his services and what premium Forest are prepared to pay. In demand players in the winter window always command a premium. Forest have already made some envious signings, the type that were always made by others.

RE: The Championship 2021/22 - Paplane - 30-01-2022

I'm wondering if this window might just fizzle out like the last one did. Seems to me clubs aren't prepared to sell because they can't buy.

Sorry for the moan ladies and gents but can we get back to the Championship on this thread please.

Forest signed Carvalho.  And he's gone.  Presumably with the payment to Benfica for the last instalment 'paper cancelled' as a result of the undisclosed free to Olympiacos.  3-4 million for the last instalment?  If Forest no longer have to pay that or budget for it.  Then gives them more latitude for Bowler and Wallace (and that LB...)

That 3-4 million could go a long way to bringing in Bowler, Jed and that LB from West Ham?  3 players that would really strengthen Forest's top 6 push.

They've been giving teams a good game and narrowly losing.  But still losing.

However, that confidence is collapsing vs QPR.  They were smashed.

Can't count on Reading or Petey to relegate Derby.
