To his credit he quickly got rid. I honestly don'y know Reds but he listened to someone. Owen and Randall seem to get an easy ride. So I repeat what do they actually do? Vrentzos used to get stick, EM gets stick, Edu gets stick and Dyche gets stick. Owen and Randall? What part are they playing? Or are they just leaching off the club? RE: Dyche In/Out - Salvatore Matrecano - 07-02-2026 Im with you on Owen and Randall particularly the smarmy KC. RE: Dyche In/Out - Marinakis Red - 07-02-2026 Owen is busy doing his daytime day fever nightclubs all over the country. Randall is always on the piss, he probably thinks nuno is still manager as he tucks into another Madri. I heard a story about Randall a while back from a reliable source, didn’t like it at all, never had any time for him since. RE: Dyche In/Out - pennhillred - 07-02-2026 I always assumed Randall and Owen were more ceremonial appointees. Randall because it looked good to have a KC and Owen because he directed the movie. But that neither actually had any say in anything football-related. At least, that’s what I’d always hoped. RE: Dyche In/Out - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 07-02-2026 Get them both gone. RE: Dyche In/Out - RyanR - 07-02-2026 Dyche often references Owen and the “Thursday club” of ex-players. Admittedly they are club legends, but being mates with them does not justify a managerial appointment at a premier league club. I find it quite baffling that Marinakis would go for Dyche when we were in such a precarious position, especially given his managerial links to former Oly managers. There’s far more talent around than a man who was sacked by Everton for under performing RE: Dyche In/Out - Jimmygordon - 08-02-2026 (07-02-2026, 09:32 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote:(07-02-2026, 09:26 PM)Reds73 Wrote:(07-02-2026, 09:10 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote: EM will have to take apppointing Ange on the chin. They spend all day saying "Yes Mr Marinakis" RE: Dyche In/Out - Jimmygordon - 08-02-2026 It's been one c**k up after c**k up since they bought the club. Lucky appointment with Cooper and then Nuno. It's been a clown show since day one. Edit: Yes. A bit harsh. They have given the fans hope and ambition. And yes I was in those protests. They have made some daft mistakes along the way and it has cost the owner. But he puts his money where his mouth is. Most mistakes have come from being too ambitious and letting the heart rule the head. But there has been lots of cockups. It's been a clown show since day one. I think that is unfair. Yes some mistakes but the club has come a long way forward since we were protesting in the main stand car park against Fawaz. We were heading back to towards division one/ two. In and out of the high court for winding up orders. They inherited an absolute mess. could hardly get 20,000 supporters to turn up for home games, now you have to pay to go on a waiting list just to get a season ticket. It’s been a massive positive transformation. Lucky or not the ownership have overseen it and invested many many millions in players and improved facilities at the training ground. A women’s team in the second tier competing to get into the top division. Yes very harsh that. Has Marinakis made some bad choices in the last 12 months, then the answer is yes, but to state this is pretty ridiculous and that is me being kind. You can rip on MGW who is our top goalscorer this season and probably our best player since promotion but you can't speak badly about the owner. Especially on a Sunday as he is our lord and saviour. |
