Being linked with a move to Boro now.

Could be a good fit.

Good chairman, good squad, chance of play offs
Prob won’t get many better opportunities

I see Swansea have sacked their manager.

He couldn't could he...

RE: Stevie Cooper - Sausage Roll - 18-02-2025

Ha - it'd be interesting to see what their fans thought about that now - bearing in mind how they told us how boring our football would be under him.

RE: Stevie Cooper - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-02-2025

Rumour that Cooper was set to join Boro but Carrick now got stay of execution, possibly because he turned them down or possibly it was bull. Swansea chairman openly said he wants Cooper back but not sure there is great enthusiasm from their fans or whether he would want to.
Boro would be a much better fit IMO although bet he wishes he had gone for Sunderland last summer instead.

They did have their most successful period for some time under SC. He does have the potential to turn things around for them. But maybe he doesnt want to go back there. Been there, done that sort of scenario.

Does anyone know if he still lives in Notts by any chance?

Yes Sunderland would have been a great fit and he probably regrets it now.

Blackburn possibly an option too?

I reckon the top talent will be reluctant to go there now. Cooper is on his last lifeline now. He'll probably get a Sunderland/Boro/West Brom job next but if that move fails then his reputation will be in tatters.

Why is he on his last lifeline?

He got Swansea to the playoffs against the odds

He got us promoted against the odds

He kept us in the Premier against the odds

He had Lesta outside the relegation zone against the odds.

Sky Sports News did a comparison between Cooper and RVN over the same number of matches managed for Leicester in the league. In every main metric Cooper's record is better.

Megson, Warnock and Hughton have all done those things with teams too.

Dpends how you look at it I suppose.

It's a funny old game.
