Newcastle have rejected a bid from Liverpool for Isak. Just a matter of time now I think.

3 years on his contract, why would you sell? No way they can get someone remotely close to his level regardless of how much money they have.

Fans are fickle, if he says and signs a new deal in September then all will be forgiven.

Because he has literally gone on strike. Difference with MGW who didn’t.
Suspect different approach from the owners too. Im only guessing but wouldnt be surprised if EM said to MGW you either sign a new contract or you stay and never play, not selling regardless. He is definitely stubborn enough to do just that.

Only pre-season training though, is Isak really going to refuse to train/play once the season starts? He wouldn't get paid then, just can't see it.

Journalist Wars on this now - some saying Liverpool are pulling out and not making another bid but others saying a new bid is imminent.

The Liverpool signing of Ekitike just looks a bizaare waste of money if going for Isak

They are letting Nunez go and sadly have Jota to replace too so it makes sense from that perspective.

That said, given Newcastle have been struggling in this window, signing the guy Newcastle wanted doesn't seem like the best approach to persuade them to sell Isak.

Mad to think they still have Salah.

Strong season for Liverpool id say.

RE: The Premier League 2025/26 - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-08-2025

Burnley paying £20m to Chelsea for Broja who hasn’t scored for 2 years.

Sunderland now in talks for Luis Openda. Don't know what he was like last season but the couple before he was excellent. He'd be some signing if they can land him.
