Well. Adomah seemed to do alright for Cardiff. And Carvalho. It doesn't look like he's part of the manager's plans. SA. RE: Joao Carvalho - JWJW - 14-09-2020 With Colback and Freeman in the side........QPR was the game to have Carv playing. The set up against Barnsley was not for Carv. Carv needs to be surrounded by intelligent players who can pass. Then he shines........... some of his best performances were with Benny........intelligent players together. Certainly not with Yates............. I think Yates will be the downfall of Sabri...........if he relies on him. Sometimes it can just be a few players here and there that catalyst a side. A monster CH who commands the back...a ball playing CM...and a winger who provides the killer cross. I don't think Forest have any of those three. Yates didn't give up the goal. That was down to Figs. And the CHs were nowhere for the 2nd goal. I think like all Coaches. They can get to the point where they can't see the obvious and the fans can. Conceding but not scoring is a pattern you don't want to get into. Like last minute goals. Carv'. Think his confidence is shot. Don't think the Championship is for him. Think it's over for him at Forest. Forest will try to get the debt for him traded off and try to make some money back with a transfer. SA. Is he trying to hint that the big man is interfering RE: Joao Carvalho - Strawberry Avenger - 14-09-2020 There was a rumour that a 'certain' club we hold debt with...want an Olympiakos player. And that Oly will give the quality player for a reduced amount 'IF' said club quash the debt owed (£6 million?) on Carvalho. So one club gets the player they're after from Oly' if they write off Forest's Car' debt. Where that leaves Car' who knows. If Forest get the debt quashed on Car'. Oly' might be able to take Car' to them for a cheaper price. And at least 'break even' or a small write off on Car's transfer. That may explain why Car is out of The Coach's plans. And out at Forest. For me. He just isn't a muck and nettles Championship player. He gives the ball away too much. Doesn't assist enough, doesn't score enough. Forest need more a Lee Tomlin type. Or like freeman...someone who is up to the fire and thunder of the Championship. Not someone who is so shy and retiring that they won't knock on the Coach's door to see why they aren't playing. SA. RE: Joao Carvalho - stirred - 14-09-2020 I read it as we finished the game without a player like Carvalho, ie there was no natural Freeman replacement, and we need to think about why. And that maybe it wasn’t his decision, or at least not just a footballing decision. (Although would Johnson be suitable?). I saw a Tayls response in the Q&A: “My Reading of the situation is very definitely not that Lamouchi has any kind of personal agenda with Carvalho. He says himself it has been a club decision to have him train away with the rest of the squad. It feels to me like this has become a financial decision as much as a football one.” Not sure how that benefits anyone, unless there has been an offer that the club were agreeable to but Carvalho turned down, cos he’d rather stay as sub. We don’t have a payment triggered with another appearance or anything like that do we? Time will tell I guess. RE: Joao Carvalho - wassy04 - 14-09-2020 Yeah if anything sounds like Sabri wasnt allowed to pick him, suggests they're trying to offload him and don't want him injured I guess. Thank you Sniffer. Be a shame to lose Riberio, thought he was our best LB in years. |
