RE: Karim Ansarifard - Sausage Roll - 09-10-2018

The only thing reported is in the Post, which says work permit issues. Which seems odd because I thought he met the criteria of having played 75%+ of matches for his team, and his team having a high-enough ranking. I must admit I'm not fully conversant of the rules though.

No news coming out of the club about it, but then why would there be?

That is true, to a certain extent.

The truth is though that he was still contracted to Olympiakos on the 31st August when the transfer window closed.

Then a few days later his contract was cancelled and backdated.

Which is why I suspect we'll probably not see him until Jan 1...

That was same situation as there big Greek Tach, he didn’t seem to have a problem. It must be down to work permit issues

It’s getting a bit of a farce really.

Have you seen Tach in a Forest shirt though Widdow?

I haven't.

Yeah, he was on the Team photo that was published yesterday, with the class of 2018/19

Couple of hypothetical reasons why he hasn't played,

He isn't fit?
Will take time to settle in England and new team and ease him into championship?
Karanka didn't want him?
Nobody injured in midfield?
After seeing him in training, he isn't that good?
He is struggling to adapt?
Don't know his best position?
Did we really need him?

He isn't fit? - He is.
Will take time to settle in England and new team and ease him into championship? Not really.
Karanka didn't want him? - True.
Nobody injured in midfield? - True.
After seeing him in training, he isn't that good? - True.
He is struggling to adapt? Not really.
Don't know his best position? - We do but we have better.
Did we really need him? - No.

RE: Karim Ansarifard - Sausage Roll - 09-10-2018

Antonis saying Ansarifard has signed, so presumably an announcement will follow at some point.

RE: Karim Ansarifard - ThePromisedLand - 09-10-2018

Just need to get him in same room as Randall ( & a photographer )...

He signed weeks ago.

The issue for me is not whether he has signed but the reason why it has never been annouced.

RE: Karim Ansarifard - ThePromisedLand - 10-10-2018

Maybe - but can’t announce until international clearance confirmed.

Anyways I assume he is away with Iran at the moment & so any photo opportunity unlikely for a few days yet.

RE: Karim Ansarifard - Sausage Roll - 10-10-2018

That's presuming the photos weren't already done weeks ago...

Good point NG3  ;)

I am starting to think that the conversation quoted above may be correct.

RE: Karim Ansarifard - HykehamRed - 10-10-2018

Why would we sign someone but not announce it? Makes no sense
