RE: The Premier League - JollyLollyAussie - 19-08-2026 I think thats fair from the Beeb SR they seem to acknowledge that our present squad struggled last season due to the disruption with constant change of managers. Top 10 finish would be OK for me with good cup runs but most of all stability!!!!!! RE: The Premier League - Sausage Roll - 19-08-2026 Al Hilal bidding for Ollie Watkins. RE: The Premier League - Marinakis Red - 19-08-2026 United getting Baleba, that will rule them out of the Lamine Camara race if we are actually interested in him. RE: The Premier League - Sausage Roll - 19-08-2026 Could mean Brighton want Bergvall though. Sky Sports News doing a bit on new manager impacts and Tim Sherwood pretty complimentary of both Glasner and Marinakis. RE: The Premier League - Forest1970 - 19-08-2026 I just don't know we're keeping our transfer dealings so quiet because there's absolutely nothing being said only the guessers RE: The Premier League - Paplane - 19-08-2026 If Man Utd are looking to sign Baleba then that suggests he'll be going for £50/60m, meaning we might be through the massively inflated midfielder transfer fee phase of this window. With the start of the season just a few days away, are clubs now just looking to get players in and out sharpish, and for more realistic fees? If this is the case, us sitting on the Bervall transfer for 4 or 5 weeks might have just saved us £20m. RE: The Premier League - Sausage Roll - 19-08-2026 Arsenal close to signing Ezri Konsa. Villa going to be very interesting this season - lots of player turnover. RE: The Premier League - Paplane - 19-08-2026 (19-08-2026, 11:36 AM)Sausage Roll Wrote: Arsenal close to signing Ezri Konsa. Wow, Villa are really being picked off this summer. Rogers, Tielemens, both gone to rivals and now potentially Konsa. Martinez is probably out the door too. And then there's the peripheral players who have left like Digne, Luiz & Sancho. I can see them having a bang average prem season this time around, especially as they have Champions League too. I'm amazed Emery is staying around. RE: The Premier League - Fumanchew - 19-08-2026 I’m surprised we haven’t even looked at Watkins RE: The Premier League - Sausage Roll - 19-08-2026 If he's thinking of going to Saudi it's for the money, which we can't match. RE: The Premier League - stirred - 19-08-2026 I wanted Watkins before he went to Brentford, but I think we’ve seen the best of him. And from his PoV the World Cup has gone, from recollection he didn’t get much of a look-in on the pitch so his England thing is probably done, Villa are happy to move him on, so why not take the better pay than move ‘downwards’ in the Prem RE: The Premier League - Paplane - 19-08-2026 (19-08-2026, 01:16 PM)stirred Wrote: I wanted Watkins before he went to Brentford, but I think we’ve seen the best of him.
