RE: Stevie Cooper - Paplane - 16-12-2023

The thing is, are we going to have to lose another home game v Bournemouth and end up in the bottom 3 for the change to happen? Cooper should have gone weeks ago, before the Fulham game. Its not been working for him since the start of the season. The poor performances v Sheffield, Burnley and Luton were a clue as to how he's lost the plot this season. There's been the odd glimmer of decent football but its been nothing more than that.

He should be gone now, if it's sentiment then Marinakis needs to forget it and get JL in.

I think we are struggling to find a replacement, that's what's keeping Steve in a job.

Is Steve surviving just on sentiment?

I don’t think they can find anyone to take over

I don't think it's that but finding the right person is key.

It's a massive decision and it needs to be right.

There is little room for error.

If we advertised for applicants I am sure the figure would run into 3 figures.

Managing Nottingham Forest is a very attractive job.

Think it is time for a change. Will always be a top man for what he done but coops is out of depth the now and it's time for someone who is tougher, more tactically aware and has ideas for when we are in the final third.

Yeah I think that’s what I meant. We’ve got to get it right or our fans can go toxic pretty quickly

Let’s hope he does it soon and it works….or coops somehow turns it round with 3 wins in a row

RE: Stevie Cooper - Floridared - 16-12-2023

I think if we leave it too long then the new guy will not have enough time to have a fair crack at it. So the longer it's left the more unattractive a proposition it becomes. Who would want to come in with say 15 games left and needing to win 6 or 7 of them to survive?
We may be waiting for Palace to jump in for him so we don't have to pay up his contract, or if Lopetegui is a real option he may be waiting to see what happens to Ten Hag. its gone quiet on the Glasner front.
I would be happy with either but now is the time not in another 3-4 games time.
Perish the thought that we would get Marsch or Gerrard.....

RE: Stevie Cooper - The reds - 16-12-2023

Is anything happen, Now is the time to do it otherwise it will be too late in my opinion

RE: Stevie Cooper - Marinakis Red - 16-12-2023

I'd like to think so, we're bottom of the calendar year Premier league table too for those who like stats.

RE: Stevie Cooper - Fumanchew - 17-12-2023

Sniff mentioned that if we want to be on 20pts after 20 games like we were last season we need to win 2/3 games. And yes that will be a tough ask, we got 7 pts from games 18-19-20 last season.

And do you know why? The World Cup break.

The only reason we had an up tick was probably because of that, cooper got his second pre-season.

Maybe this new manager needs the same but with unfortunate games in between as we get to the January window?

I'd definitely take another pre season now but I don't agree with your theory. Before the World Cup we beat Palace, Spurs in the cup and Liverpool. We are unlucky not to beat Brentford.

RE: Stevie Cooper - Jacksbadhobbits - 17-12-2023

In hindsight sacking Murphy looks like a very bad mistake now. I wish he was around now we seem to be looking for a new manager.
