Looking at that list the full backs definitely need upgrading. We are 2 wide players short and I'd say we need more quality at DCM and in the striking department. I am happy with our Goalkeeper's and Central Defender's.
Lots of work to be done then.

23 players on that list, 4 of whom are 21 or under so do not count towards the 25 man squad count.
Da Costa and Bouchirou will surely be on their bikes; Ioannou will make his loan move permanent and Almeria still have a chance of going up albeit through the play offs; whether Carvalho ends up there is anyone's guess.
I would imagine Hughton will want rid of Jenkinson and Arter.
If we fall lucky that reduces the first team squad to 13.
I would have thought that we will sign Christie and Krovinovic; surely we are well down the road as far as those negotiations go.
Ameobi will probably get another year, we have nothing to lose in offering him another deal.
That will leave us looking at recruiting somewhere in the region of another 6 to 8 players
A lot of work to do this Summer with another overhaul of playing staff.
2 fullbacks. 2 wingers. Ball playing DCM. 2 Strikers. A keeper to push Samba. ????????

Yeah I think it will be pretty difficult if not impossible to get rid of the majority of the unwanted players, without paying off most of their current contracts. Most clubs will have little to no money, current wages will not be matched. If we've learned anything from the ESL its how desperate some clubs are. Players will quickly realise how difficult their negotiating position is. Maybe we'll choose to pay some off to sign elsewhere.
Either way a realisation that we're stuck with these players in the majority is definitely required.

I understand what you're both saying and kind of agree with you. I do wish Ioannou was given a proper chance here. There is a good LB in there if brought along correctly. Good crosser of the ball which seems to be the way CH wants to play. Arter I'm not so sure though. With all that said, SM may be right that neither will play for us again. If Ioannou is dumped and Bong is kept then Hughton has some questions to answer.

Hughton seemed to make his mind up about Ioannou reasonably quickly. He had a chance. Seemed athletic, robust in the tackle and had a decent cross in him.
But after 'that' red card. He was done. Did he play after that?
Funnily enough. Colback and Sow...both players who seem somewhat clumsy at times, don't feature either. It could just be that their fitness isn't good enough this season coming off the back of long standing serious injuries.
Figs. Another player prone to clumsiness is out with an injury. Even if fit, he won't get past Worrall or McKenna.
I just wonder if there is a pattern here. If players don't perform to the Hughton 'master plan' then they're going to struggle to get game time. And this seems to happen in certain positions in the team.
The ones that are under performing. I draw the conclusion that such underperforming positions (there's several of them) will be subject to increased competition this Summer as Hughton gets the chance to shape his own squad.

Ioannou may have been shipped out simply because he was one of four viable LB's at the club and he was the one who had a taker and was prepared to go. If Ribs goes then he might get another shot.

Aris is current club don't have a pot to piss in. I very much doubt that he will go back there again. If he impresses in preseason training then he could and should get another go here.

The initial performances showed promise. (I think he's got the basic ingredients of a robust athlete who can play a bit.) I like players earning redemption.
Eg. Harty sending Johnno out on loan and coming back and becoming a bit of a goal scoring hero at the time alongside the beastly Harewood.
At least with Hughton, he'll have a chance. Most players have been given a chance (more than) under Hughton to show what they can do. If they get turfed out in the Summer, they can have few complaints.
