RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - the jock - 20-06-2019

it is a very tough start. no doubt about it.

RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - wassy04 - 20-06-2019

Playing the better teams in the first month can be a good thing, get them before they’re settled/have momentum. Although might limit our momentum somewhat

RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - wassy04 - 20-06-2019

Positive view:

WBA - new manager wont have settled yet
Leeds - still sore from lay-off loss and lost a few good players
Brum - falling apart
Charlton - owner issues and newly promoted
Fulham - were terrible last year won’t be easy to just suddenly start winning/scoring again
Preston - average team bottom half

my view

wba - will be tough game. 50/50
leeds - will be well prepared
brum - should be winning
charlton - should be winning
fulham - lots of money to spend
preston - beat us twice last season.

MON needs a good start. hopefully we ship the crap out and get some decent signings. i've no doubt we will.

Well said Wassy, 18 points! lets think we can smash this league  :)
Forest with good pre-season and Mon and RK having more time with the team, other teams will be thinking we are a tough prospect.

I think it’s a good thing playing WBA/Leeds/Fulham (in particular) early before they settle

RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - the jock - 20-06-2019

if we want to go up we need to do well regardless of the time of year. coyr

Tough f*****g start.

RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - Strawberry Avenger - 20-06-2019

It's a tough league. All the games are tough. There aren't any easy games any more.

Forest have to recruit better and aim for the top 2.

Forest need to be more consistent this season.

If Forest want to be go up this season...then it has to be about recruitment driving the standard of the squad to top 6 and beyond.

The preseason is also an important keystone. It looks like Forest are going to actually have one and this time it will be thorough.

SA.

Oh for gods sake just upload!!!

difficulty grid for the Championship, based on an aggregation of leading bookmakers

RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - Mcforest - 20-06-2019

What is actually somewhat annoying is that we do not get a nice run of fixtures that would give you five or six wins on the bounce on paper. We saw with Bristol last year what a difference a good long winning run could do for your team, against what you would on paper say are teams you should beat and do. Get a run going and then you feel like you can beat anyone, just need the catalyst to get it started.

RE: Fixtures 2019/20 - optimistic_red - 20-06-2019

I bet that bookies table isn't that accurate at end of season.
McForest, if you want a good run of fixtures for momentum then according to the chart October is the time.
