RE: Is promotion still possible? - Duncan Mckenzie - 17-01-2019 (16-01-2019, 12:32 PM)Mcforest Wrote: I’m not saying it’s not possible and I have us finishing 5th because Middlesbrough are Derby are there for the taking. Two teams who if we can put a run together of wins are likely to lose and draw. The other teams however are going to be very hard to catch and top three are now out of reach. I think I agree with you Mcforest. 5th and 6th places are very much still all to play for. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Mad Squad - 17-01-2019 We will of course have a clearer idea at 5pm on saturday. If we can manage a win and Boro and Derby drop points it will well and Truely be 'game on'. They both have to visit the City Ground too, they could be massive games. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Username - 17-01-2019 I think at least one team outside the top six presently will finish in the playoffs, possibly even two. It’s amazing how team in the top six stutter in April and May. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Floridared - 17-01-2019 We got 31 points in the first 19 games, with 7 wins, so if we do the same in the remaining 19 games we finish on 70 points. We have won one in the past 6 games so vast improvement needed starting with a win against Bristol this weekend. Can we do it....hopefully, I had a $50 bet at the start of the season at 9/2 that we would, hate to loose it. Exactly NG3. We are 4 points off the Play Offs with 57 points to play for!! Like one of our ex managers used to say (don't want to mention his name because he is a c**t), there will be a lot of twists and turns yet. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-01-2019 :) So IS promotion still possible Widdow? Opps posted that on wrong thread. lol, will put on right one now. As for Promotion this year, of course it is possible, but no I don't think we will do it. We have under 2 weeks of the transfer window left to strengthen, and also hope Martin can get them playing way above their current standards and may reconsider that. At least never quiet supporting Forest. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Alf Garnett - 19-01-2019 Of course promotion is still very much a possibility. Remember when we got promoted from League 1? How many points we were behind with just 4 or 5 games left to play. We clawed them back and went up on the last day. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 19-01-2019 It's certainly become a bit harder now. RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - ForestinLancs - 19-01-2019 No way we will go up..bunch of eunuchs most of em...lack of real talent..need to reset in the summer overhaul the scouting setup and bring younger fresher mind to manage. Martin isnt the answer RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Reds73 - 19-01-2019 Not if they carry on like that. 4-4-2 is less attacking and more predictable. Wonder what happens with Carv as he can't fit into a 4-4-2 Possibly worst home performance of the season RE: Is Promotion Still Possible? - Strawberry Avenger - 19-01-2019 (19-01-2019, 06:27 PM)Reds73 Wrote: Not if they carry on like that. Forest have been poor for a while now, Leeds apart. This reflects where we are are after a relegation season last time. We have spent to get to mid table. We'll need to spend to get in the top 6.
