We need to finish as high as possible in the Premier League to qualify for Europe. So the less games we have the better.
Or win the fa cup and qualify automatically and have a trophy to show for it. Football is about winning after all.

No, but they've been together under their manager for longer than we have. Its a really tough draw but win it and it might propell us deep into the tournament. I just worry we have to play our best 11 to win it.

Completely agree, Champions League qualification should be the aspiration.
You only need see what a poor Man Utd team achieved last season and one of the reasons for that was not being in either cup for long.

I think I'd want the best 11 out there anyway, to build continuity and knowledge of Glasner's system and get some.momentum going. (Just maybe not the perennially injured guys, Aina/Wood etc)

Its likely to need to win 15 games out of 38 to get a European place, 19 out of 38 to get Champions League (assuming some draws too).
To win the League cup requires just 6 wins of which some are likely to be against lower league opponents and you can get away with a win in pens.
I would say the league cup is the easier route.

The latter stages in the league cup can be a challenge though. 2 legged semi invariably against a big 6 team who at that stage are fielding their best players. And the reward for winning that is usually a tie against another top 6 side in the final.

We won 19 games last season, having had four managers and spread thinly across four competitions.
Targeting 15 wins with OG should be a realistic target.
