Or win the fa cup and qualify automatically and have a trophy to show for it. Football is about winning after all. RE: Cup Competitions 2026/27 - Paplane - 11-08-2026 The B team that played against Udinese will get smashed by Leeds. RE: Cup Competitions 2026/27 - ac_vodka - 11-08-2026 Leeds won't be able to put a full side out either. No, but they've been together under their manager for longer than we have. Its a really tough draw but win it and it might propell us deep into the tournament. I just worry we have to play our best 11 to win it. RE: Cup Competitions 2026/27 - Username - 11-08-2026 (11-08-2026, 12:36 AM)JWJW Wrote:(10-08-2026, 07:51 PM)Paplane Wrote: Bugger. You only need see what a poor Man Utd team achieved last season and one of the reasons for that was not being in either cup for long. I think I'd want the best 11 out there anyway, to build continuity and knowledge of Glasner's system and get some.momentum going. (Just maybe not the perennially injured guys, Aina/Wood etc) RE: Cup Competitions 2026/27 - Salvatore Matrecano - 11-08-2026 Its likely to need to win 15 games out of 38 to get a European place, 19 out of 38 to get Champions League (assuming some draws too). To win the League cup requires just 6 wins of which some are likely to be against lower league opponents and you can get away with a win in pens. I would say the league cup is the easier route. The latter stages in the league cup can be a challenge though. 2 legged semi invariably against a big 6 team who at that stage are fielding their best players. And the reward for winning that is usually a tie against another top 6 side in the final. RE: Cup Competitions 2026/27 - Sausage Roll - 11-08-2026 Leeds match will be Tuesday 25th August - 8pm kickoff. We won 19 games last season, having had four managers and spread thinly across four competitions. Targeting 15 wins with OG should be a realistic target. And on TV; both Sky Sports and ITV apparently - I didn’t realize that was a thing. Ticket prices announced; from £15-£23 for adults, kids £5-£8, seems fair? |
