RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - pennhillred - 16-06-2025 We know Sky viewing figures are down, so I wouldn't be shocked by any of the following "random" fixtures where they can play up the storylines for the 1st gameweek... Liverpool vs one of the promoted teams - I'd say Sunderland Everton at home Brentford vs Spurs - moved to Monday night Man U vs Wolves (or maybe Vs us to get Neville on comms to rip us apart for a few hours) I'll be stunned if we get a winnable home match. I think they'll stitch us up at the start as much as possible. Dont the champions always get a promoted side? Going back to our last promotion (a few years back) 98/99 we got double winners Arsenal i think geoff thomas scored. Season i thought JC Darcheville was going to be massive RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - Fumanchew - 16-06-2025 Last season man city got Ipswich second, the season before they got Burnley first so it tracks RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - Sausage Roll - 16-06-2025 Fake list already doing the rounds which has us playing Liverpool three times. Bring them on :Funny: only scored once against us RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - DeesideRed - 16-06-2025 I predict we'll struggle first 6 games as we come to terms with Europe. Therefore do you want your easier games for after that period? RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - stirred - 16-06-2025 Hopefully we have a proper pre-season of preparing so we are strong from the first match (to the last…), while some of the others are pimping themselves around in unhelpful exhibition matches. Im convinced that was what helped last season, a relatively stable summer in terms of the squad rather than a rebuild and Nuno had time to work with them. Think by necessity there will be more ins and outs this year but hopefully business done early and some useful games that don’t involve flying around the world. RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - DeesideRed - 17-06-2025 I think historically all teams struggle in their first European season. Flying all over Europe takes it's toll RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - Sausage Roll - 17-06-2025 To be fair to Villa they qualified for the Champions League in the season that they also got to the Conference League semis, so it can be done. RE: Fixtures 2025/26 Season - DeesideRed - 17-06-2025 Latest leak has Forest at home to Leeds. And champions get a promoted side in Burnley Who knows. |
