No to CHO and no to Danilo playing 90.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 05-02-2025

I would give Danilo and Sangare a half each and keep CHO well away.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - McDurban - 05-02-2025

I'd start Sangare and see how long he can manage.

Start and make a statement.

Like a lot of people I'm undecided on Sangare due to game time. I do think for a number 6 he has goals in him as he gets into the box can also threaten from set pieces.

Games like this he should be looking to get on the score sheet and give Nuno a selection headache.

He’s 27 and only scored 11 goals in his whole career (8 1/2 seasons) so it would be a gear change for us to expect many goals from him.

He is not on the pitch to score goals.

I want to see him breaking up play, winning the ball back and starting breakaways with a decent pass.

That is his job.

Yeah I get it lads you want what I want from Sangare we have plenty of goalscorers to step up.

What I mean is against a team like Exeter he should be looking to put in an all round performance to improve confidence which is what we want from all our players.

It's game he can look to arrive late into the box or get a few shots off.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Little Red Rooster - 06-02-2025

Sangare needs to start to see how long he can go for, some minutes for Danilo, Keep CHO for the next league game, otherwise similar team to that for plucky Luton

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Fumanchew - 06-02-2025

Part of me thinks we don’t need 3 at the back for Exeter and the only reason we would is to give as many of our defenders minutes I don’t think morato needs to start

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Chicago - 06-02-2025

I know Yatesy seems to be on the naughty list but I much prefer him to Sangare who hasn't done really anything to gain my trust. Playing together is fine with Ryan but if there was a choice I would choose the local lad over him any time as he has earned it and our big signing has to prove to everyone he can stay fit and handle the intensity of the English leagues. Sangare should start with yates and have Danilo in the ten spot. Dom in the second half when one or more get tired. I like Sosa. I think he actually has a good ceiling. I want to see what he can do on a soggy pitch in Exeter on a cold Tuesday night.

Toff and Eric playing with some Moreno minutes to keep him warm.

Taiwo needs some goals Let's hope we get to feed the monster in the rough and nettles of a cup tie.

No play for Wood or CHO. They need to stay healthy for the battles to come.

Chicago: Planning world domination.

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Tricky - 06-02-2025

For me, this is a game I really dont want. It is a potential banana skin and it could potentially be costly.

Anyone who seriously thinks we just have to turn up to be in the 5th round needs to give their head a massive wobble!

This is the biggest game Exeter have been involved in for years, if not THE biggest game in their history. They are welcoming the present third best team in the country to St James Park. Probably one of the best teams in Europe, if i'm being honest. The place will be packed to the rafters with the vast majority cheering on the home side. This is their cup final!

All it is going to take is a fluke of a deflection, a poor referee's decision or some lower league clogger/future superstar to take out one or two of our players and that could lead to all sorts of problems and/or knock on effects for the rest of our season.

Or........... I could be wrong in all of the above and we go out there and knock in a cricket score!!

RE: Exeter City - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 06-02-2025

Some of ours need gametime in a competitive match. Even if we go all the way to the final its only 5 extra games so don’t think fatigue is an issue.
With regard to injuries, dont want to see Murillo, MGW CHO or Wood anywhere near the pitch. The rest just want Nuno to pick any combination that gets us through the tie.
