RE: Nottingham Forest - Barnsley - Marinakis Red - 31-01-2021

Anybody watching that today and saying were going to be fine needs to wake up and smell the coffee, my days! Were in a relegation dogfight with a manager that clearly has no confidence in anybody sat on the bench to impact or change the game or is unwilling to try something different in real time.

Either that or he needs to change his spectacles.

And as for EM leaving putting us into administration.. That won’t happen if he sells us. And, as I hear, there are interested parties. But what will happen if we get relegated... and that is exactly where we are heading

Really  :D

Please tell us who all these people are who are queuing up to buy Nottingham Forest.

Maybe people like those that were about to make Derby the next Man City a couple of months ago. Ask their fans how thats going.

I think we're in a fight, but I also think Barnsley are a far better side than people are giving credit for.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Barnsley - Salvatore Matrecano - 31-01-2021

Barnsley are a mid table side Alf, which makes it a bit depressing how they consistently look better than us. What is absolutely certain is their squad has been put together on a fraction of our budget and their wages will be far lower overall. Yet which of those teams yesterday put in the greater effort and looked like they wanted to win the most?

Exactly Alf. Barnsley don't give you any time on the ball at all. Not many teams will be able to handle that kind of constant pressure but we had two glorious chances and should have won the game.

Yeah.

But it's been that way for mostly twenty years. With the opposition manager boasting about beating Forest on a fraction of our wages.

SA.

In which case why are they only 12th? Good teams can handle their press, committed teams can match their energy.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Barnsley - Strawberry Avenger - 31-01-2021

Maybe they had a preseason or didn't sign players who hadn't played for a year or two?

We did stick with them after a rocky start and Barnie did tire. But we didn't take our chances when they did.

After yesterday.  I got the impression they are land of giants with energy.  A long ball and press game?  But quality?  One or two buzz around but are they top 6 quality?

Not been on a great run lately.  Maybe they are being found out.

There are better sides than them, but that doesn't mean that they aren't better than us. They are.

Since Ismael took over they have won 10 game from 18, 30pts from 54. Over a season thatt would net them 74pts, a likely playoff place.

The only clubs who they have lost to in the last 9 games, have all been in the top 4 of the league.

They are currently miles in front of us, and since ISmael took over have eaten clubs in our position for breakfast. They're not world beaters, but they're definitely a better side than us.

A point was a good result IMO.

I would guess that they don't score enough goals  :) but they are only 6 points off 6th place so definitely in the mix.

Most teams in the Championship will have difficulties in handle that kind of constant pressing (sorry - meant pressing and not pressure). Having no time on the ball forces errors.
