RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Reds73 - 02-04-2025

Looked like a calf injury for Ola, and he has a history of calf injuries.
Hopefully no more than 2-4 weeks

Getting him back for Wembley has to be the key.

Thought Moreno did well when he came on yesterday.

From Nuno's press conference post match:

“I cannot say a lot (on Ola Aina), it is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself,” Nuno said in his post-game news conference. “We will give him a scan and then see how it looks. I am not quite sure what the precise problem is. The scan will tell us more.

Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi missed the win over United while dealing with a personal issue, but is expected to be available at the weekend. Forest hope that Chris Wood’s recovery from a hip injury will continue.

“We will monitor Chris day-by-day still. It is getting better. Tomorrow, I hope it is better again,” said Nuno. “I think we will have Callum back for the weekend, yes. I hope that we will.

Hopefully Ola was just a fatigue issue, as his calf just seemed to lock up.

Hope you are right Reds73 but I am a bit concerned.

I know it's early and we are waiting for results of the scan etc but I wonder if we should perhaps have a look into briging Serge Aurier back to the club on a short term contract until the end of the season as he is a free agent.

Its not a bad call but as it stands we are just 1 full back down with Aina. Neco misses the semi, Moreno misses Saturday but thats it.

Didn’t Hennessy fill the 25th spot? Guess we’ll have to find the list from end of Jan

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Trailer Park Tom - 02-04-2025

It would take him the rest of the season to get match fit I don't think its worth it.

Our current squad only stands at 23 with Hennessey included. Plus Abbott and Moreira as U21.
He is in the squad as he has been listed as sub in PL matches.

It’s not on Saturday if Aina isn’t fit as Moreno can’t play.
We would be down to Williams and Toff starting.
Moreira is not yet at the level we need

Morato has played a lot of times at LWB for benfica, he mainly played there last season
