Looking at our remaining home fixtures - everton, Brentford, Leicester and Chelsea with maybe a win or so away with a few draws. Tonight's win does a lot to take pressure of those tricky away trips coming up.
Won't be easy but it feels so close
This year is definitely different. Less points needed for top 5 for sure. It's so congested from 4th down to 16th, so many teams have been inconsistent and each taken points off each other.

Think it might be higher for two reasons
Only one team running away with league usually means the teams finishing 4th needs slightly higher number + relegated 3 have such low point tally, means far more in chasing pack. I think therefore 4 should get champions league and 2 or 3 will get some form of European football

Leicester will play City back into form. I think they'll do better without Haaland and Marmoush up top.
Even if one of the above gets a draw it's massive.

Looking at the last ten seasons the points needed to finish above 6th place have been (from 2023/4 backwards):
64, 63, 59, 66, 60, 67, 64, 70, 64 and 63. An average of 64 points.
Three more wins may well be enough.

Gotta remember those below us taking points of each other starting tonight with Brighton/villa. Newcastle/brentford could be interesting they’re only 3 points behind Bournemouth and some sort of European football could be still in reach
Ipswich are 12 points now from safety but seem more certain to fight like Luton did so hopefully they take the fight to Bournemouth tonight!
