RE: Appeal For PSR Breach - Salvatore Matrecano - 07-05-2024

The no points back leak is from David Ornstein who is almost never wrong so that is official for me.

The “Them” you are talking about is the Premier League of whom we are one of 20 members. We are the “them” ourselves. Its up to the other members of the league to decide if they want to change things. For what its worth Forest tend to vote with the majority on most issues.

This is the Premier League’s idea of fairness - they gave Forest an undeserved points penalty, and then gave Arsenal an undeserved penalty at the weekend. Fair, right?

Yeah I think when people refer to the PL they mean Richard Masters? Who just does what the clubs vote for, including usually us as you say. Obviously not being in the league at the time we didn't have a say in these rules being put in place but I've seen no evidence to suggest that we've done anything to try and persuade other clubs that they need tweaking to correct for the promotion related flaws.

In fact, we were quite happy to support them when we thought it would hurt Everton and potentially help us last season. As much as I think the bonuses/covid stuff is unfair, two panels have agreed this is what the rules say so we have to live with it, I think based on that fact we probably still got off lightly. Annoying that we're going to have to sell another player before June to comply but hopefully we get the results we need next weekend, we meet the rules in June then we're finally on the same playing field as everyone else.

Post June, we know that Leicester are likely to start with a points deduction, Ipswich have a League one team and then there's just the playoff team so once again without points deductions for us, survival looks very attainable. Be nice if we could push on similar to the likes of Palace and make next year more comfortable (if we're still here)

And if we go down, then f**k the PL, it's shit anyway!

Sadly even if both do lose Saturday then we’ll still need a point to be sure of staying up. Don’t want to risk going into the last day away at Burnley with Luton still only 3 pts behind us.

Luton need 4 points to overhaul Forest and Burnley need 6.

So much for “footballs super lawyer”

How much did we pay this plum? We got 2 points back for complying and early plea which we could have got regardless.

Like I said on the previous page, the lawyer has little opportunity to sway the panel with personality.

Seen it 100 times before.
The judge has often made his mind up and it’s just lip service.

Silly Forest thinking it would be a genuine debate.

Will be interesting reading the written reasons as these now set precedent… good luck for next seasons PSR everyone apart from Brighton!

RE: Appeal For PSR Breach - Salvatore Matrecano - 07-05-2024

Ok here you go. I haven’t got the time or patience to read it. All you need to know is the 4 point deduction stands.

RE: Appeal For PSR Breach - Jimmygordon - 07-05-2024

Safe to say Rt Hon Lord Dyson will not support a team out of the big 6. Arsenal is my guess.

RE: Appeal For PSR Breach - Forest1970 - 07-05-2024

Can we contest it again ?

No move on, Forest not commenting is the right thing to do, Players have no uncertainty anymore.

RE: Appeal For PSR Breach - wassy04 - 07-05-2024

So we didn't even appeal against the bonuses or covid losses then?

Nope. No mention of those.
