But he may as well be a left back in this set up I’ll have that bet with you?! RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - Forest1970 - 30-07-2023 Oh dear me A few of them who played today shouldn’t be anywhere near to the first team I'm afraid. I hope to god that Randell watching this reports back to the big man and gets someone a rocket up them to start getting players who's going to give Forest the quality it so desperately needs. I know it's only a friendly but we really need to start showing something else. RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - JollyLolly - 30-07-2023 F1970, we all saw this last season so Randell + the big man should already be well aware that we need investment in QUALITY and not NUMBERS RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - Forest1970 - 30-07-2023 (30-07-2023, 07:31 PM)JollyLolly Wrote: F1970, we all saw this last season so Randell + the big man should already be well aware that we need investment in QUALITY and not NUMBERS Agreed. I'm waiting with baited breath for these quality signings RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - ozzyten10 - 30-07-2023 We are desperately short. Worrying that Filipe, Richards and others have had no minutes. I’m also hoping that the box midfield formation is just for away games as it nullifies any width whatsoever. The new full back had a good 45, Boly very strong, but we are desperately short in midfield - mangala is a worry - not had a good preseason at all - looked slow and constantly giving the ball away. MGW rusty but given 60 whilst Scarpa again nowhere to be seen- he is obviously a good player. I’m also worried that danillo hasn’t been given any minutes further back as this is where he played in Brazil - can see why they want sanagre too. Very worried about up front - if Dennis is going and jonno then we are in deep shit. Dennis leaving doesn’t weaken us, based on 1 goal and 1 assist last season. We need to move him on to free up some finances to bring more quality. Interesting re Scarpa, he doesn’t fit into the profile of team we are building RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - Salvatore Matrecano - 30-07-2023 Didn’t see it, assume Aina was LB? How did he get on, did he look like he could be a Prem League starter? How did he get on, did he look like he could be a Prem League starter? Thought Aina looked ok, comfortable and good with both feet. Overall we look rusty and little threat up top but still pre season and hopefully by time we come to kick off the season we will be fitter, sharper and have a few more quality players in to strengthen us. RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - ormerdonkey - 30-07-2023 Was at the match. Honest opinion time. PSV never had anything to worry about. Not sure sangare would add to this team that is clearly lacking in ability to play about from the back and hold the ball in midfield RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - ozzyten10 - 30-07-2023 I just think cooper is making a bit of a point in these last 2 games - I need better quality! I’d be interested to see his post match reaction and if it is anything like v Leeds… RE: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24 - nffc93 - 30-07-2023 (30-07-2023, 08:13 PM)ozzyten10 Wrote: I just think cooper is making a bit of a point in these last 2 games - I need better quality! Trouble is none of the others seem to be able to in a forest shirt, yet when that play internationally they can and do? I was hoping for much more evolution by now - just looks like we are planning a 451 defensive play for our glut of away matches at top 6 sides. Which I suppose makes sense. |
