Bumping this as a little reminder it’s exactly 5 years since we said a not so sad goodbye to Chris Hughton with us bottom of the Championship.
Been a bit of an unexpected journey since!

Reading some of these comments about how poor we were. So many of us had written off the team and genuinely feared the worse - Brennan was crap, Yates was league 2 standard. It's still amazing to think how cooper turned it around. As much as being in the premier league has been memorable - particularly that season under Nuno, there is still something about this season that ranks as probably my favourite. I guess it's how unexpected it turned out coupled with the fact we had been out of the top flight for so long. It will take something to replicate the emotions that season produced.

Yeah that is still my favourite shirt, very tight fitted though compared to your average. Maybe that helped their speed...

I bought the highlighter kit in the sale for £15 because no one seemed to want it at the time. I later managed to sell it on eBay for £150 when the demand went crazy. Didn’t want to sell it, but no shirt is worth that much!

Ha I actually don't think I would take £150, too much nostalgia.

Do we reckon we could now sustain ourselves in the prem now if EM buggered off and sold up? How much of our recent success is down to the Big Man alone and how much is down to our historical success and where we are in the football hierarchy?
By the very nature of the running cost/status of owning a premier league club football club the new owner would undoubtedly be a very wealthy foreign individual or individuals, so it might not be just down to the size of the wallets of the new people.
