RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - DR Forest - 15-03-2024 (14-03-2024, 11:43 PM)The reds Wrote: Marinakis will be in a good mood tonight. Olympiacos winning 6-1 away in the 2nd leg to win the tie 7-5. Let’s hope Luton has as many bakeries in the area as Tel Aviv RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 19-03-2024 I am a bit disappointed with EM to be honest. I have defended him loads on this forum and took a bit of grieve for it. So it's only right for me to say that I am feeling slightly aggrieved at the moment. Agreed, I thought Vrentrosz had gone a few seasons ago, it’s bit of worry that he is involved again. Marinakis yes is ambitious but went over the top, it’s good to have ambition but the rules need to be followed, hopefully we stay up and stay within the rules this season. Vrentzos works generally for EM over all his companies and businesses. He doesn't work for Nottingham Forest as such and I don't think we should read anything g into his so called involvement. Imagine how I feel! Completely agree with your other post though. Got to stick together and go for it now. Battle mode. Fair play to you Sniffer, as you have always backed EM unequivocally even when we were struggling in the Championship thats a significant thing for you to say. Would you mind elaborating a bit? What in particular do you think he has done wrong? My own opinion, mistakes have been made and I have long been uncomfortable with the recruitment model we have followed. However I stick with the view that in order to survive in this league you need to take a different and unusual approach, even bend the rules a bit. That's what EM has done, it worked last season, it really ought to have worked this season too. So where do you think he has gone wrong? RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - DeesideRed - 19-03-2024 I still stand by the view that the recruitment model was well thought out being stats based and wielded decent results. Then they all got sacked. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - ozzyten10 - 19-03-2024 I think ultimately it was EM that wouldn’t sanction the sale of BJ under advice. Then we went on another mini splurge - Murillo, Dominguez, CHO, Elanga and andy (all decent to be fair) and demanded a top 10 finish in the distinct possibility that we were due a points deduction - has it paid off? Time will tell! RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Username - 19-03-2024 (19-03-2024, 05:14 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote: I am a bit disappointed with EM to be honest. You deserve a lot of credit for this post. It’s very difficult for people to take a contrary view when they have held the counter position so strongly for so long. We always defend people we care about, it is who we are and what life is about. Sometimes things happen and we just move on. Don't feel too bad we all know you have always posted from a good place with good intentions. I just dont think its in Marinakis' make up to run a club in a methodical and business like way like say Brighton or Brentford. He's a ducker & diver. That's why he's not selling Brennan at cut price. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - nffc93 - 19-03-2024 Mistakes have been made. I just hope if we go down he doesn't sell up and is true to his word and the new training academy and stadium development happens. Just got this nagging feeling he'll sell up. |
