Comment of the season so far for me.

I think this is harsh.

Certainly the lad from malmo and the Spanish chap look odd considering they aren't even making the bench but most would have been happy.

Arter and colback have shown they are very good players.
Taylor for Charlton caused us no end of problems when he played against us
Freeman was one of the best attacking players in the league for QPR a couple of seasons ago
Christie is an experienced full back

They should make our first team better. They are not.

Why not?

Because the way they are being asked to play has become so negative, so Conservative that we make even a good player look average.

Grabban, Lolley, Figs - all look average at best.

Nobody looks good in this team.

I don’t think that Arter, Colback or (particularly) Taylor will make us much better. The improvement, if any, will be negligible.

We needed to replace Watson, who was poor since the restart so the bar was low, but we have probably gone like for like with Colback in reality.

A Fulham fan I know doesn’t rate Arter. I thought he was ok today but what did he do that was notable?

Grabban will score goals. Dropping him for Taylor will only have a negative effect.

Surely like for like for Watson would be good as Watson was good.

Grabban deserved to be dropped, he's strike rate is pretty poor and he was missing too many chances. Personally would've liked to see both start.

Judging players on one game is silly, these are proven players at this level filling gaps that everyone has wanted to be filled

Watson has not been good since February mate.

Re Grabban: you persevere with good strikers and give them proper service. The way we are setup is failing him. I guarantee that dropping him will not have a positive effect for him or the club.

The only player I’m judging on one game is Soh as I’ve never seen him play before. The rest I have seen play, plenty more than once.

Mbe Soh was my MOTM. I thought he had a good debut and wasn't afraid to push forwards. The same with McKenna

I thought he was good tonight too but, much like Yates on Saturday, missed a very good chance to score and probably win us the game.

Let’s face it, Ben Hamer is poor, Udders have no strikers yet finished comfortably with three points and twice should have made it two.

Other than ameobi's effort we did not test hamer. But why should this surprise us. We had one shot on target against Barnsley, 0 against QPR and only managed to create any chances against Cardiff once the game was lost.

Huddersfield will probably not have an easier game this season I reckon

I thought Diakhaby had his best game for Forest tonight

One of the two was massively at fault for the goal, McKenna was left marking two players and picked the wrong one, so I'd guess Soh was at fault in that instance. Otherwise solid enough

McKenna was our best attacker and defender.

RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - Maltared - 26-09-2020

I was excited when I saw the team sheet, but deep inside I knew it was desperation, too many new faces thrown in at the same time , only a miracle would have pulled it off.
Its incredible how, from a team that only a few months ago needed only some fine tuning to get promoted, to practically being dismantled and start afresh.
By saying this I am not implying that we were playing champagne football, but its incredible how quickly we were found out, no plan B, that our plan B was to start afresh ... not sign of good management...not only for now but also for the future.
It doesnt make sense that, first you find a system that works, offcourse at some point the opposition will get hold of it, your next move is to; dismantle a whole team nd try to build a new one ... you achieve nothing ( long term) going with that mentality... it's close to impossible that the perfect system last a full season, at some point you will get found out nd its here that good management comes out ... how to adapt to a new scenario....fast ...

To be fair mate, you were often pretty critical of the squad and team.last season and the fact that we were slightly lucky to be where we were in the league so clearly based on that suggests to me we needed more than fine tuning

RE: Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest - JWJW - 26-09-2020

I was actually happier with the performance, given the amount of new faces.

Ameobi and Soh could have made in 2-0 .......we would have won easily from there.

Their goal was special.

A better left back, a proper winger, drop Sow and put Freeman in the number 10 role...........sorted.
