The problem is there is no smoke without fire. If it was just one news outlet you could pass it off as pure speculation but the same story has come from multiple outlets

The club would have quashed any rumours and backed him. There has been total silence

I read that he will be in charge for the Leeds game and he has said he hopes to be at Forest for many years, and again refers to a 2.5 year project. wouldnt it be refreshing if Marinakis spoke out regarding his support for Karanka.?
He won't get us promoted this season but neither will a new manager at this stage so why not just let him get on with building the team to take us forward next season?

A voice of sanity and reason.

I concur.

There is also no way Tails would risk his relationship with the Club if it hadn’t come from within.

Spot on, Jock.

I was gunning for Top 10 after 3 years of relegation material.

That's progress.

With 3-4 players.  Top 6.

Another 6?  An assault on the top 2.  Possibly.

Neither of the last two do we have the depth for really, so the current position reflects where we are.  It's very close.  It's an 'almost.'  Ifs.  Buts.  Maybes.

All those draws.  All those last minutes (8 added on?  Pull the other one, ref'...) added on and teams 'doing us' out of a win or a hand ball (cheat...)

Had 'luck' gone with us, we'd be sitting pretty.  But you make your own luck with preparedness.

Forest need a good January in the transfer market.

They may as well stick with Aitor until the Summer.  Any new manager will not get us promoted.  That's not the Forest way...

We've heard clubs back their manager before and sack them.

...and yes.  No smoke without fire.

No chance he'd leave Sheff Utd. He supports the club, the fans love him, he's got a patient board willing to back him. They'll be in the Premier League long before us with their setup.

Now, there's a thought...

Taken from Wiki because I can’t be bothered to dig out the full stats:

Jokanović lasted just over six months in the role before he elected to return to the Championship, joining Fulham on 27 December 2015 as head coach.[26] After avoiding relegation by 11 points, he achieved his target of a top six position for his first full season at Craven Cottage.[27]

Jokanović led Fulham to promotion by beating Aston Villa 1–0 at Wembley Stadium on 26 May 2018 in the play-off final.[28] On 14 November, however, after seven consecutive winless results and with the team ranking last, he was dismissed and replaced by Claudio Ranieri.[29]

How different is he to Karanka?

If we were to finish top six then the summary for both would be virtually identical.

Aye.

the club needs to put to bed all of the rumours one way or another. All the uncertainty is demoralising for the players, fans and the club. I had a feeling ever since Fulham sacked Jokanovic that we would end up sniffing around.

Is Jokanovic any better than a sideways step? I am not convinced.
