Lets hope there are no complications and it is a relatively straight forward recovery.

Get well soon Danillo. Here's to a speedy recovery

Guilty here of looking up broken ankle recovery time. Depends on severity obviously but looking at a minimum 24 weeks.
Bone is healed in 12 weeks but it takes double that to repair ligament damage, muscle wasting etc until you can start putting the type of pressures a professional sports player does on it.
So realistically we are looking at Danilo being back around March time.

It just depends.
My lad broke his ankle, dislocated it also and broke his fibula playing football 2 yrs ago.
He was lucky and didn’t need an op.
He was back weight bearing after 8 weeks, and back full contact after 14 weeks.
Best case scenario for Dani is Jan/Feb

Sounds like Aina went off injured too so hoping that's not serious as fullback is a sketchy position for our squad depth as it is.

He was treated before going off but walked of fine not even limping. The stretcher actually appeared on the touchline for him, would say that was a tad premature.

Aina is weak minded. We all know this he won’t contribute to the level we need consistently

Danilo's posted on Instagram that he's out of hospital now.

As you said Reds, it just depends. My Daughter, who is a Sports Therapist, says it depends on the severity of the break, the actual location of the break and any ligament damage he may have done to it also, which is a separate treatment altogether. Once all of the afore mentioned have healed, then it will need time to rehabilitate the injury, including extensive physiotherapy and obviously training to build up the muscle tissues around the break and ligament area. She reckons it could take 3-4 months or he could be out for the rest of the season, depending how bad the break is and what damage has been done to the ligaments etc and how well both the player and the actual injury react to the repair, rehab and recovery.

Sorry what?

We’ve seen it constantly since he arrived, he doesn’t trust his body, that’s why he rarely completes 90 minutes

Elanga and Aina both injured yesterday. Just as our squad is coming together nicely then boom opening day may see us sign more than we intended to.
