Cyrus Christie's Crossing Numbers.
Last 10 games.

51 crosses attempted.
13 accurate crosses.
25.49% crossing accuracy.
0 expected assists (xA) in 9 of his last 10.
0.63 xA.
0.06 xA per game.

Would love to see these stats for all our wide players. They don't make great reading though

Agreed, I wasn’t looking to dig him out, just saw the stats and thought they were worth sharing.

I thought he was excellent against Millwall and those two defensive headers at the end of that match were immense under pressure.

However my perception has always been that he is defensively weak and his attacking game is what earns him a spot ahead of Jenkinson and the now departed Darikwa.

No wasn't suggesting that either, just would really like to see how they compare. My guess is Ribeiro's would be even worse aside from yesterday as he did get an assist.

I think these stats don't tell the whole story though, it's not just getting them in. We always cross from really deep, making them even more low % chance of success. Plus they're usually just hopeful balls in with only one person to aim at. This was a big issue for Sabri's team too so it's no surprise that this hasn't changed but it's got to be something they need to look at.

I really think CH has a tough project on his hands, this is a very average team IMO.

One quality cross from Lolley and we have a goal.

I have been banging on about it for weeks. Our crossing and final ball is shocking but folks keep replying to me that we need pace. We don't need pace, we need someone who can cross and pass a football. Beckham had no pace, Robbo had no pace but they knew how to cross a ball.

Ha whoops thought it was Ribs with the cross. Yeah our crossing is dier, Ameobi has never been able to cross, I've not seen enough of Mighten corssing attempts yet to see if he's any good at it. The full backs are offering close to nothing with crossing, it was the same last year too. Knockaert can cross it allegedly...

When he doesn't get easily knocked off the ball, then throws his toys out of the pram because he didn't get a free kick!!

Yet most on here were advocating that his loan be extended!

He hasn't really played since the loan was extended due to Mighten, that's not a bad thing. Last night the whole falling over and claiming a free kick was embarrassing but aside from that he put in one excellent corner. Didn't offer any more or less than Mighten really though.

I'm still very happy with kept him, he's better than Ameobi and Lolley and I don't think we'd be able to get anyone else in any better. Only caveat is that he doesn't take too much game time away from Mighten who also looks better than Ameobi/Lolley and is the perfect time to help him develop.

Im going to forgive him for the falling over thing. His reaction after (trying to take the free kick) suggests to me that he honestly thought he got a push and so the free kick was his. He may be frustrating and it was a poor bit of play on his half but hes not a looney.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - Paplane - 21-01-2021

My take on last night generally : we are in the championship where every team is capable of beating every other. We lost a game to a fairly decent team who had a rocket up their arses after a poor display themsleves at the weekend. We got off to a poor start and that set the tone for the whole night and we never looked up for it. These things happen in the championship. He need to not get too down about the defeat, get back on the horse and win the next game so the defeat doesnt turn into another slump.

Agreed. We've got three massive games coming up, really need points to get ahead when our tough run comes in.
