shame it's not scott parker being lined up then i would feel a lot more confidant of more than a few teams being below us at the end of the season.

Lopetegui gone from Wolves.

Makes you wonder why they went so long with the pretence that everything was okay just to part ways 6 days before their first game against Man U

RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Salvatore Matrecano - 09-08-2023

West Ham signing Maguire and Ward Prowse. Both excellent additions IMO with still £45m to spare from the Rice deal.

Or another perspective, two players on presumably massive wages with no resale value. Personally don't rate JWP although obviously really good at set pieces. Maguire has become quite error prone but may be more effective playing for a lower team.

With you on the resale value and I agree it’s something I always complain about when Forest do it. But neither is a pensioner, both current England Internationals.
JWP is worth it from the amount of assists from set pieces alone. Were you at the Southampton game? Don’t think you appreciate it on TV but watching him live the speed and angle he put on free kicks and corners was something to behold.

Ha yeah I was there, every time they had a set piece was agony. He is probably the best set piece taker in the world, which make me think the rest of his game must be terrible for him not to have moved higher up by now! I have actually thought for a while he should be in the England team, just to take set pieces, I feel like we could carry one player.

You could make an argument that combining JWP with Maguire's set piece aerial ability is clever business.

Ross Barkley has joined Luton on a free transfer. That's a blast from the past!

And O'Neil officially confirmed by Wolves.

Berge signs for Burnley, at least there are a few teams having a worse window than us! (Wolves, Sheff Utd)
