Well when our owner took over we were on the verge of bankruptcy and heading for League 1.
So I would say that with this being his second year in the PL that he is well on the way to achieving his dream.

Unfortunately its not that easy to define.
If by huge progress you mean “achieved promotion to the premier league” then yes but by all other measures I’m not so sure.
We didn’t achieve promotion by executing a well laid plan. We managed to bring the right mix of players and management together at the right time. It’s no more, or less, than that.
Personally I’m yet to be convinced he knows how to run NFFC properly other than by chucking money at it and hoping that a proportion of it pays off, ironically that was the approach of his predecessor.
The model he is using for Olympiakos shows that he must know something about running a football club.
Greek football is in no way comparable

I didn't think I would ever read a post that echoed my own thoughts, but reading Widdows strikes a chord with me.
We shouldn't blindly follow and the ownership should not be on critique as appears to be the raison d'etre.
The scattergun approach to employment of key personnel has always worried me. You cannot keep throwing money at it or you sail dangerously close to FFP and even worse, have unstable footings to build on.
I'm incredibly grateful for the return to the EPL but I thank Cooper for his brilliant management rather than Mr Marinakis for his often frenetic stewardship.

Hopefully this doesn't happen and we improve.
It's a really interesting dynamic as Cooper clearly has a lot of power in the club particularly with his standing with the fans which is unprecedented in almost any team. This shifts the balance of power away from EM and I would imagine it's not something he's used to.
I really think it's bringing the best out of both parties right now. If one gets two much power they start making questionable decisions and you get moves like Dennis or Wood/Shelvey. Both need to be reigned in by each other.
It's chaotic and probably unsustainable but the balance works right now, so hopefully the marriage can survive and thrive.

Ha! It's not like EM can even sack himself?!? What a bizarre way of looking at things. Coops has been given a lot of rope already, I think you should give EM more credit for that.

Agree with that. Its quite unusual at the moment the majority of managers right now are highly popular with the respective fan bases.

EvenMoyes and Ten Hag doing a good job, O Neill and Dyche seen as battling clubs in turmoil, the rest are brand new. Its hard to see where the first sacking comes from. Thing is a run of poor results and the mood changes quickly as we know ourselves.

After all of today's happenings and if/when we announce the signing of Sangare later tonight I don't want to hear another bad word said about EM ever.
The guy has surpassed all of our hopes and expectations since he walked through the door.

We're transitioning into an established Premier league side in just over 12 months. It's incredible the investment that's gone into the club. People mocked the big man when he announced his intention to be challenging for European places. He might just get us there.
