That’s the point I am not moaning about managers players or even the owners. I appreciate what everyone is trying to do. I am making opinions and prepared to critique, I don’t keep my head in this Greek sand as I didn’t in the Kuwait sand or even Skegness sand when doughty was owner.
My comment above was trying to understand what ground rules are and if you can dare
Question what’s happening as sometimes I get impression you cannot.
Personally I like a long term strategy which is not what we have had at this club with this or previous owners. We are in premier league. Let’s stay there but let’s also do that wisely and not be bottom of every list like sustainability and even catering in the ground etc

Maybe it needs a new thread? About ownership not just about EM? There’s kominakis there’s the board which still only comprises of Dourekaa, Owen, Randall and Vrentzos (funnily enough Wilson isn’t on the board yet…) theres Ed Henderson who has been climbing the ladder at forest (apparently)
Actually according to transfermarkt dourekas is sporting ceo and Wilson is sporting director. So who do fans need to needle to get ground improvements. According to linked in Henderson is head of football business and operations. Another quick search has John Taylor down as the chief operations officer.

Well when our owner took over we were on the verge of bankruptcy and heading for League 1.
So I would say that with this being his second year in the PL that he is well on the way to achieving his dream.
I see huge progress.

I think the time to debate will be September 1st. Our squad is bottom half as it stands - if we want top 10 then there will need to be in comings.a couple of points that have been missed from EM quoted interview:
1. We have made mistakes in recruitment
2. Our investment last year will mature - the better signings are a year more experienced in the prem and have improved with further improvements to make.
3. We stood by our coach - we believe in him to develop
4. We are looking to improve the squad - quality over quantity
5. We remain highly ambitious.
6. Injuries - may have better luck this year to aid the development of some in the squad.

I absolutely love his ambition. Has he made mistakes, yes, he has accepted that. Will he keep making them ,sure he will. Could he got us up to premier league sooner, I think yes as he made some dreadful appointments.
That’s the past, we learn from experience. I am so grateful for him, it’s a fun ride and I am looking forward to how we progress and if and when we break the top 10.
Will he stick with cooper. We shall see but can’t keep your eyes off us, but don’t take stuff for granted and I will question as my hopes as a fan match his ambitions.

In fairness hindsight has shown the structured approach to transfers in the early part of last summer has paid dividends, the scattergun panic towards the end of the window less so, bar Aurier.

Kouyate, Filipe, Danilo - all wild cards that have contributed and a star in the making.
Toff and obrien were wanted but not upto the required standard- they were cooper/ Dane signings.
Also Dane getting so much undeserved credit - he was taken off transfers last summer due to very few of his signings coming good. Cooper and Dane didn’t get on at all - I can tell you that for fact…

I might be wrong here Ozzy, but I thought Dane was taken off signings all across the summer as he was busy getting the City Ground PL compliant?

Unfortunately its not that easy to define.
If by huge progress you mean “achieved promotion to the premier league” then yes but by all other measures I’m not so sure.
We didn’t achieve promotion by executing a well laid plan. We managed to bring the right mix of players and management together at the right time. It’s no more, or less, than that.
Personally I’m yet to be convinced he knows how to run NFFC properly other than by chucking money at it and hoping that a proportion of it pays off, ironically that was the approach of his predecessor.

The model he is using for Olympiakos shows that he must know something about running a football club.
