I understand new manager not wanting to take charge 1 day before Wolves game, however If Steve is really a dead man walking then I think it's only right he is sacked and someone else manages on Saturday. He has done a fantastic job for us, and will forever be held in high regard by most Forest fans, to ask him to manage a team of players who don't want him only to get sacked whatever the result is a bit disrespectful.

Well you wouldn't want any of the backroom staff taking control even if it only for one game so makes sense to see if he does have their backing as they know nothing else than a win will do so do they go after it.

However, if he stays in charge and we do manage to sneak a win, it then becomes very awkward to sack him!!

I didn't think we'd go down this season. I now feel f*****g deflated and feel it's inevitable.

When you're club captain is bombed out and made to train alone you know it's bad. I don't wish to see him in a Forest shirt again.

We do not know what he has done to be able to make a judgement.

Chicago: Winner winner chicken Dinner.

He is an Austrian.

I agree Redgirl that tactically he seems the best to suit our squad.

What worries me is his Austrian mentality and character. It's so different from the Greek and Portuguese way of thinking. I am not convinced they would get along and be on the same hymn sheet.

For me this is why someone like Marco Silva would be better or another Portuguese/Spanis/Latin coach. It would help with the joined up thinking in my view.

Silva won't touch us with a barge pole. No chance does he come here.

Our options are going to be very limited, sadly..

I don't think we are an attractive proposition as some think in our current state.

RE: Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 09-12-2023

Yes I am not saying that Silva would come but in my view for the sake of the off the pitch situation we should target someone like him. The Greek/Spanish/Portuguese set up and mentality that we have in the background is so different mentality wise to that of an Austrian. Maybe I am talking nonsense but that is how I see it.

RE: Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Paplane - 09-12-2023

If Silva is a serious option Id go all out to get him. He's an excellent managet and he's knows what big EM is all about too.

RE: Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Liars Bar - 09-12-2023

I’ve just accepted that Lopetegui will be our new manager by Sunday night. I know nothing about him but he must have something to have managed who he has.
Win or loose today I think Cooper will be gone.
I’m just about to leave for the game so at least I’ll get to say goodbye.
You Reds!

Think in all honesty we need to look at this thread now.

Glasner does indeed look excellent although is he just a bit too…..Montanier?

Potter is another I know a few of you don’t like him but hear me out. Given time he can build something special, he gives you that different quality, the ability to get players performing in a different way. EM wants us to compete at the top, realistically we cannot outspend the big boys therefore we have to go about it differently as Clough did. Not saying Potter is Clough but he can get sides to over perform. What I do know is that we won’t ever qualify for Europe (thats the aim) by simply being more organised and pressing more because every other team does that too, so we have to find an alternate way. Potter is one of the few that could give you that.
My problem is that his methods need time and patience I doubt he would get here.

You all know my feelings on the Spanish Megson.
