If Frankfurt pay the dough, we can’t stop it.
They have a buy option at 25m, that they can trigger.

Eintracht Frankfurt are 8 points and a much worse goal difference off the last European (Conference League) place, so that could influence things

Even if Frankfurt were willing to pay, it is still up to AK if he wanted to move. It could be that if he can see he has a good chance of playing in the prem, he could prefer that.

Maybe time to bring Danilo back for next season

If he tells them he doesn't want the move though then they probably won't pay it.

Kali just bagged another goal for Frankfurt.

I did mention on here last week that the K man was coming back at the end of season, seems EF can not raise the 27 million euro and by the way scored again at the weekend!

RE: Current Players Thread - Chicago - 07-04-2026

Not sure I am that keen on Kali. Alway seemed weak to me. Cunha on the other hand looks a player. Speaking of which? How is his injury and what is the prognosis?

Chicago: Former Paramedic.

I think he would score loads playing of the shoulder of Woody now we have a much better manager in VP Chicago!

RE: Current Players Thread - Squarered - 08-04-2026

Assuming we stay up and Frankfurt can't afford to complete the AK transfer, what would you folks do for next season?

We'd have the same 4 strikers on our books (can't remember if any are out of contract?) It hasn't gone well this season and Wood will be a year older.

Who would you ship out and how many are you looking to recruit?

Good question, if you keep Wood/Jesus it probably doesn't make sense for a big signing as that will just block Jesus progress. I would still let Kali go personally, he has never seemed like he wanted to play for us, even if we get less for him. Just seems like a big red flag for me, but understand why we would want to give him another go. Only if whoever is the manager is committed to giving him game time otherwise no point.

Worth remembering, if we stay up, unless we win the EL of course, we will have a lot less game time to go round.

Yep and it seems to me he's not the type of character who is happy to play a supporting squad role. I suspect that's why he left in January. It's a shame really because it's evident that he does have talent. But being the no1 striker pick in the premier league is a big ask for any player, no matter how talented they are.
