RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 08-08-2021 We ran out of steam its as simple as that. It was a good performance. Get a grip everyine critising. Opposition make good subs whilst CH doesn’t realise the game is drifting away and does nothing, they score, we still remain on the back foot as Coventry continue to go forward, take a striker off to bring a defensive midfielder and end up losing. Reap what you sow keeping a manager with a 28% win rate and the same old story and relying on players like Bong and Colback and no forwards on the bench.Which sub striker would you have brought on? Taylor was dead on his feet. Works both ways :D RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - Uwantlee - 08-08-2021 CH can only work with what hes got. The squad is weaker than last season. We havent added the quality needed. My only critisism of CH is he leaves it sooooo long before making changes. You could see from the opening 10 minutes of the second half that there was only one way this game was going. Lolley should have gone off instead of mighten. This squad, without additions, is in serious trouble. We best hope that signings happen soon otherwise a long season is ahead of us RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - ozzyten10 - 08-08-2021 We looked pretty solid but obviously fitness caught up on around 60 minutes. Colback too busy covering bong and got in each other’s way for the fist goal. Also Bong gave the ball away almost every time he is very poor. Hughton will be fuming RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 08-08-2021 We hit a wall about 65/70 minutes. Johnson especially. It allowed them to grow into the game and their fans get going. Im not going to let the result ruin my view of the game. We were good. RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - Fumanchew - 08-08-2021 He moves Johnson forward nothing wrong with that but then had to move lolley to CF Cus he couldn’t walk would you rather lolley had stayed on the right and not being there to cover Cus he couldnt track back? RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 08-08-2021 Missed two pre season games, Worrall injured in training. Grabban out sick. Bong, Taylor starting despite clearly not being wanted. But yeah sure blame the manager why not. We played decent first half, better team. Second half played worse, faded badly, clearly tired. Draw fair result, shame about the mistake at the end. RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - David - 08-08-2021 I thought we were very sloppy second half and Coventry deserved the win because they were more positive . Definitely we missed pre - season friendly but hopefully more incomings . Don’t think our new CEO was impressed and pressure already on the Manager . RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - JollyLolly - 08-08-2021 Window, entirely agree with your post, spot on! RE: Coventry City - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 08-08-2021 We have a threadbare squad. For those with short memories the last 2 preseason games were cancelled and the team were not fully match fit. We ran out of steam against a determined energetic side. Hughton was playing for the point at the end which was the right thing to do. |
