What’s Nottingham Forest’s stature? For 20 years we’ve been a lower mid-table Championship club, on average. If someone had to determine which club most epitomised the mid-table of the Championship they would conclude the answer to be Nottingham Forest. We are the club who’s spent the most time in this league during that time iirc.

So today’s fixture was a battle between the archetypal mid-table second tier club vs a second tier yo-yo club. Hardly a mismatch.

Stature is maybe the wrong word and disrespectful to Luton. The issue is what this squad should be achieving given that I suspect our wages bill is 3-4 times theirs.

We may have won it without the red card. Harsh to demand a win with ten men for half the match.

I see Yates is no longer the scapegoat. I see there is a new one now. Ioannou.

Pleased for Yates. He really is the new Watson , zero to hero.

Ioannou cant be scapegoat for the next 3 games......

Yates will have an off day at some point and you can be sure that the haters will strike then.

I’ve stuck up for Yates plenty of times.

When did that happen?

Last night and this morning everywhere on social media.

As a result of the red card - which, even if justified, was earned without malice.
The lad was just unlucky.

Agreed TPL.

Everybody was raving about him at Blackburn a couple of weeks ago too.

Pretty unlucky that his foot bounced off the ball upwards, although it was a dreadful touch.

Luton player did something similar later in game and wasn't sent off despite that he missed the ball. So arguably being punished for getting the ball!

I've thought he's played alright so far personally although ropey at crossing. Think he's looked better than Christie at defending anyway

I'd say he's had a 'steady' start. Nothing too spectacular but hasn't embarrassed himself either. He's clearly talented so I'm hoping as he settles and adjusts, he'll improve.

Assuming Ribeiro is frozen out, who plays at right back on Saturday though now? Ioannou's height will be missed defending the inevitable Warnock aerial bombardments.

Why are we assuming that Ribeiro is frozen out?

Why are we assuming that Ribeiro is frozen out?

Daniel Taylor's comments on 'the way he's been treated by the club', and Sabri eluding that he may have played the wrong RB in Blackett (ie he'd been told not to select Ribs).

Unbeaten & nice to see us improving :)

But that improvement needs to step up several gears quickly too. We've some tough games coming up in Dec, and we need to be rolling properly by then.
