Good news on Aurier and Boly, means they're both starting tomorrow! (Assuming this came from Cooper) Less good about Felipe.

Felipe been training on the grass this week.
I wouldn’t believe a thing Coops says re injuries !

Boly was sick, so how can you be ‘closer’ !

Because he's less sick.

I think Steve is keeping him back until after the international break.

Be great to welcome him back into the starting eleven.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-10-2023

Montiel went off with a knock after 34 minutes as Argentina won 2-0.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Sausage Roll - 21-10-2023

Injuries taking their toll again. CHO out for 'a little while' though I suppose that was always going to be a possibility. And presumably Origi injured too as not in the squad. At least Aina is back on the bench today.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-10-2023

CHO 6 weeks out. Hardly unexpected given his record
Origi 4 weeks. Not great but he has looked poor so far regardless
Taiwo maybe closer we will see.

We look very weak up front and thats with Wood having an excellent game, he was blowing out his arse last 20 though, he can’t do it all alone.

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Plymouth red - 21-10-2023

Don't know where the goals are going to come from as wood will struggle against non-championship opposition

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - wassy04 - 24-10-2023

I think this thread deserves more love (or hate) right now.

Some may think we're underachieving so far however once again we seem to be decimated by injuries that is restricting the team. Our main goal threat, our best defender, our star midfielder from the end of last season, our player of the season to date (not including Sat...). Then you add in their backups are also injured or playing through injuries and it's tough.

Felipe, Aina, Montiel, Tavares - first choice LB/RB (debatably) plus our best CB. Add in Aurier/Niakhate missed time and one of those is clearly not 100%, the other seems to be out of favour post injury.

Danilo, CHO, Origi, Taiwo - young star in Danilo (although I'm aware not certain starter currently), star striker, and our two other wide forward options. It's left us very short on the bench and in games. Wood is obviously a massive downgrade on Taiwo (although playing Luton suited him).

Once again injuries limited our potential, lets hope we can at least get the younger guys back on the field sooner rather than later. Cooper needs to have some players to sub after all...

RE: Injuries And Suspensions - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-10-2023

We are missing Taiwo obviously and also we look very weak in forward options off the bench. Other than that Im not sure how many on the injured list would be regular starters. Aina possibly out of position at LB, Felipe for Boly again maybe but I don’t feel its a massive excuse.

The depth of the squad is now much better in some areas but I am with you that Im far from convinced the 11 we put on the pitch at any one time is stronger this season than last.

I think Aina or Tavares would 100% be starting at LB over Toff surely? Felipe would surely be in and Taiwo is obviously massively missed. So that's three (our two best players in the early season?) starters instantly missing, replaced by championship level replacements in Wood and Toff (with mixed results).

Then you add in CHO and Danilo so no sub attacker and one of our best midfielders from last season. It's hampering our depth and our starting 11, both seen on Sat.

I think if I was naming our best 11 when fully fit, it would include Taiwo, Felipe, Aina and Danilo.

Danilo back in training according to his Instagram. Be interesting to see where he fits into our midfield now as the trio of Dominguez, Mangala and Sangare is looking our most settled area.

Danilo to replace Sangare?!
