Said marinakis was finally putting together ther right forward thinking modern day structure that will benefit us longer term. I expect Hughton will get a fair crack at it and it's those decisions you pay the CEO to make anyway, if he's a good one he'll get it right. Don't forget Struber came before Ismael too, personally I thought they were better to watch under Struber but Ismael got the results. I don't, I think it's pretty much spot on except for a couple of player's from Olympiakos which in the grand scheme of things was nothing really. Last summer was all down to Lamouchi was it? How convenient. Like I said some of us have a different opinion. Water under the bridge now and hopefully lessons have been learned. No not all but many, the others were down to Modesto and Guerrero was down to vrentzos so just one. I am just being honest SM I don't have any alliance or loyalty to Vrentzos I hardly know the bloke. RE: Potential New CEO? - Sausage Roll - 21-06-2021 Daniel Taylor @DTathletic #NFFC update New CEO could be in place soon. Forest’s info is that Dane Murphy has a contract at #barnsleyfc that expires at the end of June. Therefore no compensation and no notice period. Not true that Murphy has resigned (he doesn’t need to) Even better! RE: Potential New CEO? - Widdow - 21-06-2021 Told you we didn’t have to worry about compensation RE: Potential New CEO? - Shawoddyred - 21-06-2021 I still find it a bit weird that footballers are contracted to a certain amount of time but can't believe the execs etc are contracted for a specified amount of time with a cut-off, are they not permanent?? RE: Potential New CEO? - northeastred - 21-06-2021 Now you need to tell us mowatt is following him widdow haha RE: Potential New CEO? - Uwantlee - 21-06-2021 I’m torn on giving too much credit to EM just yet. Let’s just sit back and take a look at things. On the football side we are no different now to when he took over. And, no matter how you look at it, this is what is important. Everything else is irrelevant if you are not moving forward football wise. However, I think we will now start to move forward. If the nee structures are true and lessons have been learned then success should follow. We have plans for upgrading the CG... this hasn’t started yet so whilst the thought is nice, to us fans that’s all it is at the moment. Money pumped in to planning is one thing... seeing the process begin is where it becomes real. Cat 1... a massive well done on that one. Well done tomEM for funding it and well done to the staff at the CG for making it reality. The new leadership structure sounds great. It’s not confirmed yet and we don’t know how it will go. What worked for barnsley doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for us. Fingers crossed though. EM has done a lot of good! Funded a lot of (good and bad) signings. However, to me, all that matters is results on the pitch. When EM took over we had just avoided relegation. 4 years later we have just avoided relegation. Before Em we had a high turn over of players on high wages... 4 years later the same. I appreciate all they EM has done, his support and funding of the club. I won’t congratulate him too much just yet though. Get us in to the perm (I believe he will) and I will sing his name from the stands like everyone else. Until then I will support him and the club in the hope of success. I don’t think that is normal. Maybe that’s how Barnsley operate. RE: Potential New CEO? - Widdow - 29-06-2021 Expecting Barnsley to announce Murphy leaving tomorrow. |
