Ribeiro lost the plot tonight though and was definitely in the mix at the corner flag, he would probably have got a second yellow regardless. My mistake, thought he got booked for arguing earlier. Had a really poor night though, we get to see what Bong can do then. RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - PsychoStanleyStone - 20-01-2021 the way things have changed, wasn't it this fixture last season they were in horrendous form and packed there defence and we had 70% possession went ahead but then they equalised to grab a desperately needed point as they were right down the bottom they look totally superior tonight and we have taken some damage, we bin beaten up good and proper RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - zicorice - 20-01-2021 (20-01-2021, 09:57 PM)Username Wrote: WTAF Knockaert Lolley now has better stats than Knockeart...... Yes really. RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - Salvatore Matrecano - 20-01-2021 Doesnt really show it, Ribeiro I thought got the red for leaving his studs in not for Assombalogas pathetic play acting. RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - ozzyten10 - 20-01-2021 No way- it was asombolonga play acting. He may well have got a second yellow though RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - Madforit - 20-01-2021 We`ll see how they respond in the cup. RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - Tricky - 20-01-2021 Ribs went into Ass'es face with his forehead (the second time he had done that as well). Irrespective of how soft he did it, it is still an head butt if the ref see's it and a straight red card. He did also stamp down when trying to get the ball. Whether he caught a player or not, a stamp can be construed as a straight red card offence for dangerous play. I have been a fan of Ribs and have not been one of those who are constantly on his case, but, I do believe he deserved that red card tonight and there should be no getting away from that fact. We were poor tonight and were beaten by a very good Boro side. Yes we fell for the typical Warnock sides diving antics every time we went near one of their players and the ref bought it every time, but at the same time, Boro were playing through our midfield superbly at times and were catching us where our players were out of position time and time again. I have got to say that Samba's header off the post was hilarious. The look on his face after was priceless! RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - ozzyten10 - 20-01-2021 Pissed off tonight massively... Hate Warnock and his football - they were so much better than us and I have severe sour grapes and salty tears. We were second best all over and showed the squad for what they are. Would I have Warnock here? Yes I would have a few years back but not now. Lolley needs a run now. Alex “lost” minutes last year due to our persistence with Da Costa and his development is being impacted due to the persistence with Knobhead. Not only that but then Ameobi gets moved into his less favoured position to make way for Knobhead RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - Username - 20-01-2021 Just a point about Mr Hughton’s post match “We didn’t get in behind them enough” Well...is that surprising? We don’t get ourselves into positions to do that. The responsibility for that sits with the manager. He also called out Ribeiro and Taylor effectively for their stupidity late on but when asked directly about the incident with Knockaert when he lost the ball and gave away the free kick basically absolved him of blame. Very disappointing and some of those comments won’t go down well in the dressing room RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - ThePromisedLand - 20-01-2021 (20-01-2021, 10:57 PM)Username Wrote: Just a point about Mr Hughton’s post match And I have to defend Taylor - the replay of the incident clearly shows him being pushed. Not a cause to mouth off at the ref - but another example of the referee being conned. RE: Nottingham Forest - Middlesbrough - Strawberry Avenger - 20-01-2021 Forest started poorly and lost their recent discipline. They allowed Warnock to unsettle them. Crap conditions to play in. ...we got slapped. SA. |
