No need to swap Taiwo for Ayew and Mangala for Yates just for the sake of it and then have to concede with 10 men on the field.
It should have been better thought out. If we really did need to make the changes mentioned above then we should have made a double substitution instead of using up our 3 windows on 3 separate subs. A double sub would have left one more sub available to come on once Danilo was forced off.
Absolute dog shit of a decision and probably cost us our place in the PL.

Wow. The crystal balls people were using yesterday were very powerful.
Im furious too. I should have put a hefty bet on us to lose 2-1 but strangely the bookies wouldn’t let me do that after I knew the result.

Desperate as in we really needed the result!
I'd argue we were cruising because of the subs made.
I do agree he could've made more effort to keep the two subs together.
However that doesn't mean it wasn't terrible luck regardless.

Cooper has shown himself to be so naive this season. He will probably leave to go to another premier's club in the summer having learnt so much through so many mistakes with us. Another club will benefit and we will be stuck in the championship. Apologies for being so negative but still feel ill after yesterday's result.

I don't think he will go to another team in the premiership as they'll see whats he has done this season and say no thanks. I also don't think he has learnt anything from this season and yes you could say we've been unlucky with injuries but his lack understanding of game management will make teams from this league stay away from him for now. I personally wanted him to succede at this level and probably will do in another season or two but he needs someone with him who knows this league.

Cooper will just end up like wilder.. he will end up getting passed about the championship, with clubs thinking he can get them promoted because he did it once, cooper is a hell of a championship manager.. but he has made too many mistakes to attract another premiership club

I'm confident if he leaves he'll get another job in the bottom half. Palace, West Ham, Leeds or Leicester (if they stay up) would all be interested and have been linked previously. Who else do you think these teams are going to go for?

In the past 30 years since Clough left we have had 23 permanent managers and goodness knows how many interim ones.
How many since have gone on to manage at a higher level than us? NONE
Actually there is one exception, believe it or not Joe Kinnear’s hilarious stint at Newcastle.
A few have managed at the same level ie Championship, none have gone on to manage at a “bigger club”
NFFC is where managers come to either die or at least have their career’s severely dented.
We have no idea what will happen to Cooper next but I will make a prediction now he will be the one to break this mould. And that when it happens we will be on the outside looking in and bitching about how useless the next poor sap is after a home defeat to Rotherham.

Hindsight is indeed a wonderful thing.
Personally, sat up in the stands thought Ayew contributed much more than Taiwo on the day.He can hold the ball up and he got a couple of crucial headers in. Taiwo was having a complete shocker it happens.
As for subs, I will say this, I was glad to see Kouyate come on as I hoped like Wednesday he would help shore things up as Brentford were beginning to knock on the door. Any supporter who claims they weren't glad to see him come on at the time is either psychic or a liar.
He then (and this is brutal, harsh and I hate saying it) proceeded to cost us the game, aided and abetted by some poor goalkeeping and Yates' feet being too long!
All the other bollox is peripheral. Cooper was let down by an experienced pro who should not of given away a cheap foul, then sh1t the bed as freekick came at him.
I am not psychic, but I'm fairly sure if that freekick is blocked we get a point minimum. Not sure having 10 men affected 2nd goal as we had men in right areas of pitch, but no one could be arsed to cover full backs in case winger came inside (as per both goals at Leeds).
5 or 6 more points still required snd we do look capable now, not something we'd have said a few weeks back. Shame about Danilo but standard for any player getting into their stride to get injured this season.
2 home wins and we are good for another crack at Premier league next season.
