RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 08-11-2022 The PL is full of foreign managers. Most if not all speak English and with the right attitude you can embrace living in another continent or in a foreign country and I am talking from experience. Yes of course no-one was suggesting it wasn't possible, just simply it's another challenge on top of managing the team. Makes having a quick impact harder, particularly if they need to use a translator. Just feels a bit of a dart throw to me. Whereas you could just maintain employment of the clubs most successful manager since Dave Bassett(?) Unfortunately that won't be the case Wassy if we get relegated and Cooper will be the first manager since Megson to have a relegation on his CV at Forest. Look, I want him to succeed but more than anything I want to stay in the PL, what is wrong with that? If you don't like this thread perhaps you shouldn't contribute to it (no offence meant). There is a clue in the title of the thread 'Thoughts On The Next Forest Manager'. It's just a bit of harmless discussion or it is supposed to be. You seem to be taking it a bit personally for some reason. I wasn't taking anything personally, I'm not Cooper! I think it's reasonable in the Next Manager thread to compare any potential successor to the incumbent while there still is one as that is the live debate until Cooper is no longer the manager. Also, there's nothing wrong with wanting to stay in the PL, I simply disagree with the notion that the managers listed above have more chance of keeping us up than Cooper this season, based on the reasons listed above. RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 08-11-2022 Okay mate that is fair enough. Cooper is our best bet short and medium term. Unfortunately changing the Manager is not a magic panacea and would in my view be unlikely to keep us up. We need a bit more quality at centre back and centre forward. It isn't the magic panacea....... except last year RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Georgecloney - 09-11-2022 (08-11-2022, 10:11 PM)Shawoddyred Wrote:(08-11-2022, 08:22 PM)Georgecloney Wrote:(08-11-2022, 05:47 PM)wassy04 Wrote:(08-11-2022, 05:43 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote:(08-11-2022, 05:16 PM)wassy04 Wrote: Yes of course no-one was suggesting it wasn't possible, just simply it's another challenge on top of managing the team. Doesn’t mean it is guaranteed and to be fair we sacked a manager who had been an abject failure for a over season of football. His performance was so poor he is still not in a job over a year later. Cooper’s record at Forest is very different and if he is sacked I don’t see him being out of work very long. Do you? RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - tugger2018 - 09-11-2022 Cooper man is going nowhere RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Reds73 - 10-11-2022 (09-11-2022, 11:33 PM)tugger2018 Wrote: Cooper man is going nowhere Hopefully. We’ve got to stick with him. Don’t know what the issue was in the summer and early season, he looked very unhappy and just wasn’t himself. Seems much happier this last month RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - ozzyten10 - 10-11-2022 Didn’t get what he wanted and was over ruled for the striker he wanted - he wanted Piroe or Davis. Also wanted tavanier. Or so I am told… RE: Your Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 10-11-2022 (09-11-2022, 11:33 PM)tugger2018 Wrote: Cooper man is going nowhere That would be great if that is the case as it would mean that we are winning games and climbing the table and hopefully ataying in the PL which for me is the most important thing. |
