This makes me really want this deal to go through!

Brentford in full meltdown

They seem oblivious that they were pissing around with Johnson and only ever offered £20m below the amount we finally got.
We may not get Wissa for £22m but that was the first offer reported some weeks ago, we have probably gone back with higher and we will probably match his value eventually. Whether Brentford let him go for that is up to them and thats fine but don’t give me this entitled nonsense they seem to have. Think the players wishers are the deciding factor in this one

They are deluded and have a huge chip on their shoulders for being a tiny club with no history.

They have a massive inferiority complex.

Sooner they are relegated the better it will be for Football.

Yeah I hate that, seem genuinely wronged that we chose not to sell them our best player.

Obviously, that's our prerogative same as if they choose to keep or sell Wissa. Always hated that about big clubs signings, players previously having too much say. It does feel like the balance has gone a bit more towards the clubs in recent years though. (aside from having to sell academy players to meet PSR but then I can't imagine those players often wanted to leave)

Trying to think why Brentford are so dislikable yet Bournemouth who are similar are somehow quite likeable.

Think Bournemouth are a bit tinpot and know it yet they behave like a big club without any arrogance.
Brentford are tinpot and still behave tinpot whilst thinking they are a big club.

What the Exeter fans are saying about tonight, not many comments and they don't sound hopeful:

Lets keep the dream of European Football at the St. James Park alive.

Be interesting to see how our new back line operates and if there is any fight in our team.
Sadly I'm not expecting much so prove me wrong.

Give us a night to remember!

I don't have high expectations about the result but still hoping for a good evening out and a battling performance.

If we can not be 3 down after 20 mins I'll regard the night as a success.

Avoid getting smashed and show a few signs that we know were in a football match and that'll do me.

If we are still in it at half time that’ll do for me.

Last time I watched Forest, Yeovil put 5 past them. So no need to be worried.

Loving the optimism

After looking how Orient and Plymouth played their games, I'm getting a bit worried that our second string 11 might not quite have to the wherewithal to win a battle of a tie, which this could well be.

I think I'd mix it up and play a few regulars.

RE: Opposition Fans Comments - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 11-02-2025

Don't think you can call it a second string Pap.

Apart from Miguel all the others have played PL football this season.

Base case is the team from Luton with JWP out and Sangare / Danilo in.

They’re struggling in the third division. Those players are more than good enough to win, no excuses.

The Gooners are not up for it at all:

Pretty much we just playing for the pride now players don't look they even care we have nothing to fight for. I don't know how we gonna score with this attack against very organized Nottingham team who definitely have better forward than us. Our team just need to show better effort than our last game specially the midfielders.

So maybe another 1-0 lose? I honestly wouldn't be surprised too I can't expect wins against good teams with midfielder playing CF and 17 years old either Arteta need to give players more freedom or he need to change the system to 352 because 433 with the attacking players we got currently won't work at all against solid defense.

We ain’t winning at Forrest with this attack. It’s almost like people forget we are missing 4 attackers and struggled like crazy last 2 games against inferior teams to Forest.

Not really interested in this one as there's not much riding on it.

Forest haven’t really been particularly good the last few weeks either though. I don’t really care much either way anyway.

Hope we get battered so that some of the players start to think about leaving. They're not winning a f*cking thing here so long as he's the "manager".

I've got this down as a loss if we try the same rubbish up front. We can't score and too often we've conceded from the oppositions first shot.

I take no pleasure in saying we’re getting beat and comfortably so here. We don’t even look like scoring.

How are we gona outscore Chris wood?

We are gonna get absolutely pummeled here. Everything we're awful at is what Nottingham are designed to expose, that on top of our own inability to consistently create and score goals and having a passenger as a captain.

A draw would be good here.
