Oh and Harry Wilson is the most overrated player in the league if you ask me. Liverpool have had Fulham's pants down by selling him for £12m.

I fully expect Fulham and Bournemouth to remain and finish as the top 2 sides. All teams at the top have a dip in form in the winter, it's just the way it is. They'll just play through it and their quality will come back I'm sure.

With Blackburn, Sheff U, us and Boro looking like they've got their acts together there's now big pressure on Coventry and Stoke. It'll be interesting if those two can continue to get good results.

What I found interesting about Sheffields performance last night was the way that they challenged Fulhams possession every sing!e time. Players like Billie Sharp fought for each ball so that eventually Fulham found no space or time to create their normal moves. They were forced to look ordinary by a tactical masterpiece from Heckingbottom. If others can copy that  method successfully then Fulham will drop into the p!ay off positions.

Fulham have only managed 4 points from the last 5 games so that should suggests that Heckingbottom isn't the first manager to outsmart Silva.

Coventry’s performance stats have really dropped, they seem to have lost momentum.

That does not surprise me about Silva being outsmarted. 4 draws, three against bottom half teams and a loss to a now top half team.

In fairness they did previously go on a 7 game winning streak including scoring 4 three times, 7 once and 3 once. I did think our 4-0 defeat was a weird game, felt like we were getting on top before that weird second goal.

It's looking that way.  There's going to be a fight on for the 3rd to 6th.

If the top two keep wobbling, it will be an all out free for all.

Blackburn are on fire at the moment.  They're chasing the autos as is.  And Forest have some momentum building so they're going to turf someone out of the top 6 if they keep going.

But we can't ignore the resurgence of Boro' and Sheff U.  Ones to watch.

Stoke and QPR are going to have to be very consistent to keep their places.

Don't think they can afford to hang onto him till end of the season and potentially lose out on 20m +
Out of contract at end of season.

Think they've got serious financial issues

Blackburn have the option for an additional year; that means he will not leave on the cheap, even if he stays until the summer.

There is going to be a fight on for the top 6 positions because Fulham and Bournemouth are far from certainties.

This years league is the poorest I can remember; there are usually one or two dominant sides most seasons, not this season.

Yep.

This is Forest's chance.

RE: The Championship 2021/22 - Salvatore Matrecano - 22-12-2021

Im not as confident as some of you. Fulham and Bournemouth are having a mid season blip, they both have parachute money and will strengthen in Jan. I firmly expect those 2 to become dominant and pull away from the rest.
In top 6 I still think West Brom are nailed on. That leaves probably another 7 teams after 3 places. We could be one of them for certain but I dont agree the league is especially weak this season.

Completely agree.

Boro have already said they will be strengthening.

Sheffield Utd have great strength in depth.

Im thinking with no other clubs playing if we get beat it will be a bit costly.
