I like that.

There can be many variations of that as well. Maybe a 3-4-1-2 with the same players except going with Ribeiro on the left instead of Blackett. Could work.

The problem with the back 3 theory is that none of Christie or Ioannou/Blackett are really wing backs. Sure they may like to push forward as part of a back 4 and Blackett at least is meant to have a decent cross but that is very different from being a wing back.
I would say only Ribeiro at the club is really suited to the role and you question how long he will be here given the recent signings.

Christie has played that role many times and suits. I agree on paper riberio is ideal for the role but I actually think one who is ideally suited is Ameobi. I know some will laugh at that!

I think if we were changing to 352 he'd have done it already. I suspect it'll be 442 next week or perhaps even same again (although surely he has to change things around)

I would say that Lolley is more suited to playing wing back/winger in that system. I find it difficult to picture Ameobi in that same position.

With what we know - plus likely departures - my best view is the following ( 3:5:2 ) starting X1 within a few weeks:

Samba

Christie
Soh
McKenna
Ioannou
Blackett

Lolley
Colback
Freeman

Taylor
Grabban

No excuses for that side to not be able to produce.
Pace, Physicality and Size at the back

Creativity in midfield and goals up front.

I think Joe is off - his fee will fund these final signings

Sorry but that team has a 5 man defence and gets completely overrun in midfield IMO. Neither Blackett or Christie are wingers.

Nope - they’re full backs / wing backs.
And both Lolley & Freeman can add width.

Anyway there is no way Sabri will listen to me.
