He didn't do that much wrong Why wasn't he on the line to clear it away?! :D RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 04-07-2020 Im over the initial disappointment now. One good thing about today is that the sheep might have just realised that, despite their recent run, they're actually not that good and that they got schooled today by a better team. Hopefully their confidence will have taken a little knock as a result. Also, how good was the team set up today by Sabri? It was a master class in coaching. Pretty impressive to say he only had 2 days to work on the tactics. Ive got to say, I think we've improved since the break. Both he and the players have come back with a tip top attitude. RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 04-07-2020 Special mention to Da Costa and Ameobi. Da Costa did really well and made an impact on the game. Hes looking better with every game as he gets used to the league. He could be a real find. And, then to have the ability to take him off and replace him Ameobi is a real bonus. Ameobi gave us an even better out ball. How the lad keeps the balls is something special. Those two in combination will be a real asset on the run in. RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - PsychoStanleyStone - 04-07-2020 it looked so easy for 95 minutes, very good performance, just the 1 mistake really, fundamentally sound, i thought we looked totally superior, thought it was going to be an easy 3 but the 1 isn't too bad RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - optimistic_red - 04-07-2020 (04-07-2020, 04:39 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: Surprised nobody has mentioned Yates. Thought he did really well today. That lad will die for the shirt. Yates played very well today. Didn't dive in or give away anything, passing was better. Can't be easy bombing round the pitch with busted nose and stuff shoved up to stop the blood! His distribution was good and unlucky with his volley. I fear he is gone at end of season and would cost millions to replace. Agree with this. Thought he was superb today. RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - Redgirl - 05-07-2020 I’m looking at it as 2 points we’ve taken off Derby, I really don’t want to see them in the playoffs, to lose to them in a playoff would be devastating. Funny now that Keogh no longer plays for them I can tolerate them a little more, not a lot but I don’t despise them as vehemently as I did, I put them in the ‘can’t stand‘ bracket now, I actually think I hate Liverpool more! I want to play them in the play offs. In my opinion it's the best chance we have of progressing to the final. I would much rather play 2 games against Derby than 2 against Cardiff. RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 06-07-2020 Im a bit worried about the total lack of communication about the game from the team. The manager hasnt commented, sent Bruno out. No comments whatsoever from any of the team on twitter which is unusual. Would have expected something like “hugely disappointed to concede at end but we played brilliantly before that, we were better team and we are full of confidence for Fulham” Just wonder if there was a bit of shouting or bust up in the dressing room which has led to no-one commenting? Or am I too suspicious? The dressing room was probably world war 3 after the game and rightly so. Sabri will have been right to stick the boot in. The conceded goal was a string of errors (Wozza, Samba, even Cash). And Grabban deserved criticism for missed chances at the other end too, and maybe even Mighten. I found it reassuring that Sabri couldn't bring himself to face the press. Shows he's really up for it and the fixture means as much to him as it does to us. Wozza will be hurting. You could see Lolley was too. And Dawson & Watson will have been influential voices in there. I think they'll all be really fired up tomorrow. Just hope they keep their heads. Sabri lost his voice and no doubt Worrall will have been the most devastated person of all. No need for tea cup throwing etc. More like tell the lads more of the same performance wise against Fulham and we will be OK....but lads let's sort the last minute or two out. I actually feel they may have closed ranks on the back of some reactionary bile that came out Saturday afternoon, so for me I see it as a good thing at present. Togetherness as one of their own has been "battered". RE: Derby - Nottingham Forest - ozzyten10 - 06-07-2020 Great management- dressing room must love him. |
