Thing is that with just 3 points taken from the last 21 it doesn't fill you with confidence for the games ahead does it?

Bit unfair in that performance looked far better and return of Kouyate and Taiwo should help. Thought Danilo and Mangala looked very tidy. None of them have been involved much in recent weeks.

We HAVE to take the performance forward into these two upcoming away games. We are 14th amazingly. Let's keep positive and go at Dirtyleeds the same way we went at Wolves first half. It's a mini season of 10 games now with about 10 points required from 30. I still believe it can be done.

Just wish Dennis squared it....or MGW kept his shot down......then we'd all be talking about a perfect performance.

Yes I see where you are coming from Zico.

Unfortunately right now all I can think about is what a fantastic opportunity we have missed in the two home games with Everton and Wolves.

Yes thanks for that Wassy.

Ha sorry just made me laugh.

I'm confused on the one hand I'm devastated and the fixtures suggest we're probably down now.

On the other hand it was probably the best we've played all year. We had probably 6 clear cut chances (to their one). We score any of them and its basically a perfect performance. Danilo, Mangala were really good, Brennan looked fully fit. Taiwo and Kouyate came back into the team. One of Freuler's best performances. Felipe is just a beast, easily man of the match. Neco did really well subbing in for Aurier, Toffolo actually played really well.

And after all this we're still 14th!

Realistically we're going to have to put in a surprise result but having a nearly fit squad again suddenly does give us (false?)hope.

Just to repeat that, we're still 14th!

The ones we will regret are not going for it vs Everton and then not playing for the draw vs Newcastle.
Obviously Bournemouth early in the season was the disaster and if we go down by a couple of points that I was the chief culprit.

Yes I agree that there are some positives to take from today and all is not lost yet.

The subs were to go 532 which was the system that was so effective last year and lamented by many on here. Coops has jus said it was because Wolves were pressing more forward. Throughout the entire game we were catching Woves in possession and breaking forward. In theory the formation allowed the full backs to get forward on the break and allowed Danilo ( not too effectively) play further forward. It nearly worked we created far more chances, they scored from their only chance. There was nothing negative about today other than the result.

It’s a simple game.

Agreed. We looked more dangerous playing on the break. It's the best part of our game.

It would be if we took our chances.

Yep.

The only smidgen of hope we have now is to go to Leeds and beat them on Tuesday. We'd all have taken 4 points from those 2 games im sure. But hoping on winning away games with our record is an act of desperation.

I really fear for us now but as it stands it’s our own hands. I have a feeling we will get something unexpected at Villa but think we’ll draw to leeds
